Stored spawn in fridge…now what?
    #28386667 - 07/06/23 03:07 AM (1 year, 6 months ago)

Hey good people!

Back in January I put some spores on some brown rice from a syringe.  It cultivated the grain nicely.  Unfortunately, I had something come up which made it necessary to put the spawn into long-term storage in the fridge.

I’m going to be ready to resume the grow soon. Any thoughts on how best to go about bringing the spawn out of storage in the fridge?  Can I just set it in the closet for a couple days at room temp then proceed as normal?

Thanks!

Step one: remove from fridge
Step two: do whatever the fuck you were gonna do if it’s fully colonized.

You don't need to do anything. I use my fridge like a pause button haha. let it sit for a day or two if you're anxious.

You can even skip the days at room temp!
