(Click the link above to see your expected lifespan)

How many years do you all have left? What will you propose to do knowing that the clock is ticking and we aren't getting any younger?

They said I will croak at age 92, which gives me 41 years to go. If I have 7 ideal weekends per year for great weather to go camping, that leaves me with only about 98 weekends left, so my optimal time left is dwindling.

If time passes more quickly on a logarithm as one ages relative to how many years one has already lived, and if I won't be able to do as much backpacking after age 65, then I have substantially fewer available optimal camping weekends than that, and probably they will seem to pass even faster.

So if I want to take one of my "adult" kids to Aspen to hike the Conundrum trai, eat a little bit of cacti, and enjoy my last remaining free time here on earth I'd bloody well better do it this month.
