A unique challenge...

I am getting back into growing mushrooms after a few years. The challenge is, my living situation has changed since my last experience with growing. I now live in a 27 foot trailer...very limited space and the temperature control is non-existent. It's summer here in Oregon, but in the evenings, my trailer's temp still drops to around 50 or 60 F. So that's the problem. I want to inoculate some grow bags, but I'm worried the temp isn't stable enough for success.
I was considering getting a small grow tent with a heat lamp that I could keep inside, but I'm not sure that's my best option. I thought I'd come on here and see if anybody has a better idea for me.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

A small tent wouldn't be a bad idea. I saw someone using an aquarium heater in a 2 liter bottle to keep an even heat. I use an have an old wine fridge I plan to use in the winter.

Thank you. It's funny, earlier today, I watched a YouTube video that explained the aquarium diy. I might try that. The guy in the video used a tall pickle jar for the heater. I like the idea of the wine fridge. I considered using my microwave oven which I only use for storage now, but it might be too small.
Thanks for your suggestion.

Sounds like learning a bit of mushroom identification and going hunting in the fall might be a better bet for you. The PNW has a lot of active species

Yes, but I want a steady supply, and I don't want to hunt for them. I think I've worked out a solution. I'll be using a small grow tent in my trailer with a heat bomb inside made from a glass jar and an aquarium heater. Wish me luck.

Good luck and lets hope you dont burn down your trailer. if i were you, id be more concerned with making a space to do cult work and make as many outside beds as possible to help facilitate the steady supply considering when properly dried they last a very long time. the upside is the low maintenance of the outdoor beds

I think you underestimate just how many mushrooms you can find. One good wavy cap patch can supply you for the whole year

One decent tub will last you a good while. It's not the grow space which requires a large footprint. You require a small work space large enough for a SAB and basic cult supplies. If you have enough space for a plastic tote, you have enough space to fruit.
You could always spawn your own outdoor bed.

I'll be "sharing" my supply. I'm working toward a steady and reliable growth cycle so that I always have them on hand. I'd love to hunt for them, but that's for another day.

An outdoor bed would be great, but I rent my space here and I don't want to establish anything permanent in this spot or intrude on my neighbor's land. Also, we get lots of rain and some pretty cold weather outside of the spring and summer months. I want to grow year round.

Just a quick update. I have a 2x2x3 grow tent inside my trailer in the corner of my bedroom. I'll be using a heat bomb (aquarium heater in large jar) to heat the tent during cooler months. If that proves to be dangerous or ineffective, I'll probably try heat lamps.
As far as fruiting goes, I think I'll use small shoe box totes and fruit in the windows/tent with light in darker months.
I'm restarting this hobby after a few years away. My situation has changed, but I'm determined to make this work. I really appreciate the responses I've received here. All good suggestions. Thanks.

A tent with a heat lamp or space heater would be ideal for the colder months but given that it is summer and PNW (can and does) get pretty hot your ambient temps could be warmer than ideal, especially if you are in a small space.
Get a thermometer and do what you can to maintain a temp ~ low 60F to a high of 75F for both spawn and fruiting.

I donβt grow in the pnw summer because I donβt have temp control options. Itβs not the night im worried about in the summer. The night inside is actually more ideal since it doesnβt get below 70F inside but itβs about to be 95F and that ruins grows quick when growing inside tubs, ime
