o.k this is auckland new zealand , unidentifeid shroom , is it a sub i found over 300 growing very dense and some over 60mm in diameter?
help me cause they be tempting!

i found some subs that were abot5-6cm in diameter. They look like subs to me. Best to make a sporeprint and make sure they all bruise blue.

sporeprint isnt needed really, all the mushrooms in that picture are subs. We found a 7.5 cm wavy cap before

Yeah subs can get quite big. Here is a pic (sorry its crap, its off my cellphone) of a patch of subs, average size 8.5-9cm. They were growing in grass so they were kinda sheltered from the elements :grin:



<edit> that dodgy looking black one on the right was 10cm across :smile:

Nice subs. The wavy caps are going crazy around these parts, big and fucking strong :smile: Got 700 out of someones front garden last weekend and picked up another 100 or so today. The rain has started again today, yay :thumbup:

me and hanky found subs with huge caps round 6-8 cm in diameter around melbourne, they are good finds
