Help
    #2838362 - 06/29/04 02:45 AM (13 years, 11 months ago)

Im in northern maryland and im wondering if anyone had any good NONspecific locations to check for mushrooms or if i should even be looking for anything other than Panaeolus subalteatus in my freakin' lawn. I also live next to a cow pasture but its been unused for about 1-2 years and unmowed for about 7 months... any good? and theres a small mushroom house down the street with loads of fertilizer and hay and junk sitting about, that might be useful if i knew where to look... help a girl out will ya? first time hunter so if i get any help im sure ill be back with pics...

Can you people just please read the FAQ before you ask these type of questions. Not to be rude but it does get quite annoying. Not a flame just a suggestion .

Peace

panaeolus subbalteatus is a common ween mushroom in commercial mushroom houses (like the one you, I would imagine, described). If you can't settle for those then no hope for you until the fall. Post pics before you do anything and even before that read all the info on this site and people will be real good to you when you post- and do so following the guidelines here for posting mush descriptions. Look forward to it. Wish I was in Maryland right now- I've only driven through.
