Info on progressing from first flush to 2nd / 3rd

So I'm fairly sure I have a solid understanding of everything from spawn to bulk and first flush, but I find myself confused on what post first flush should look like.
I mean, what are the preferred methods of rehydration for tub grows. Bottom watering? Spray flood x3 days? Patch divots with fresh coir?
Also, given the mycelium appears more solid / matted after first flush rehydration, what are surface conditions to aim for? No matter how often I spray it seems dry. I find myself wanting to hydrate to pre-first flush conditions which never seems to last. I have posts in my grow log on what I'm doing currently although I can post here. Just curious if there's any info for substrate care post first flush.
I find bods unmodified mono (32q) requiring spraying about every 2 days. Idk if that is unexpected or not.

I rehydrate by bottom watering for 8-12 hrs. Youre gonna find that post first flush youll be misting a lot more often , its normal. Thats why there are some people who throw away after first flush, especially if they you high spawn to bulk ratios, since theyll get most of their yield first flush. (Not telling you to throw it away).

What is the hole configuration on your tubs? I haven't ran tubs in a few years, but when I did I wouldn't have to mist once from spawn to first flush harvest.
It sounds like you may have too much FAE and they are drying out too quickly.

First grow near the end of my 3rd flush... I've gotten a bit over 6oz dry from a 32q and I think a 15q or so...3.5lb oat bag on a 1:4 ratio for both tubs. 2.5q to the 32q and the rest to the smaller one.
Glad that it is common to need to mist heavily after the first flush. None of mine seemed to need misting pre first flush beyond once or twice. The 32q I'm using is the exact one that bod has quoted in his unmodified tubs (sterilite 32q with blue gasket) sitting in a closet 2 stacked. Thankfully I enjoy somewhat micromanaging my stuff at this point, I just didn't want to do damage by doing so.
