More on Iraqi Power Transfer
    #2838194 - 06/29/04 02:00 AM (12 years, 5 months ago)

As the Coalition relinquishes the reigns to turn power over to the Iraqis, Bush plans to start the withdrawal of troops - no wait - that would be in line with relinquishing power. What I meant was: he will now be sending EVEN MORE troops to Iraq!

More Bizarro-world thinking from the banana-in-chief.

API

"With the passing of a sheaf of documents and a prime minister's oath on a red Quran,..."

Oh, well that makes a huge difference - they shuffled papers AND took an oath - and on a holy book - you may now disregard this entire thread.

"On the streets of the Iraqi capital, there was no sign of unusual activity or celebratory gunfire."

WTF? Don't these ignorant heathens know that papers moved from one side of the desk to the other? We're not talking about jobs, services, food or security, but documents for chrisssakes! Get out in the streets and party! Live it up my Arab brethren.

I thought it was quite clear that the only transfer of power was to the government? This is and was common knowledge

I'm sure that doesn't surprise you.

no, not really.  It's just funny.  If everything was fine over there and we just left they'd complain that we are abandoning the people.  If we stay we're oppressors and murderers.  If the united states gave all the poor of the country food, then we are trying to buy their support, if we don't give each and every poor help then we are hurting the Iraqi people..yadda, yadda, yadda....

must be the public education.

I guess they'd only have been happy if Gore had managed to steal the election.

Sucks being aligned with a loser.

I doubt he'd have invaded Iraq with the purpose of taking down Al'Qaeda. However, I do have to say that in the 2000 election, I sort of hoped Bush would win. He kind of seemed like a good idea at the time...

Tell me about it. I voted for him and regret doing so, but I could not find it within myself to vote for such a dispicable man in Al Bore.

Noone wants the soldiers to be in harms way, except for a few who are in bed with the. They're there and it's too late to stop it. It seems you people just want to bitch about everything the United States does no matter what it is and who it helps/hurts. Don't even imply that I want soldiers to die, I don't.

I see you're a product of instant satisfaction. I'll say it again, the government (the act) was transferred, and NOT the security. Man there's a friggin' echo in here.
