Yellow discolouration - contam or metabolites

Is this contamination or just some discoloration from agar or metabolites? I'm guessing it's all good and just some metabolites. I already used them for making monotubs. Strain is PES Hawaiian. Just asking for peace of mind and confirmation

Secondary metabolites are used by mycelium to fight other microorganisms. You got bacteria in there

Oh damn
For my understanding and learning.. how does this differ from the metabolites in this contamination guide?
Will research secondary metabolites

Will research secondary metabolites
Those are secondary metabolites in that guide and they are a response to invading organisms.
Primary metabolites are used for digesting food, we typically don't see those because they are re-absorbed with said food

Thanks a lot for your help sir Psycho! Honestly I'm still a little confused though because the guide lists metabolites as not being a contamination. I have often read that they suggest there is a contamination or that they are used as a self defence mechanism as stated here.
My confusion revolves around how to recognise when the metabolites are just normal and nothing to worry about - as I thought it would be in the case of a fully colonised grain jar - and when they are a sign of a contamination? Would you have tossed the jars out or use them anyway and hope there's still some fruits before the bacteria take over?

" Metabolites - Although a large amount of metabolites often indicates contamination, small amounts are common on fully colonized substrates and spawn/PF jars. Metabolites are normally yellow but red metabolites sometimes occur in spawn jars. Metabolites may also appear as a yelllow discoloration of the mycelium."
Because metabolites are not contam but they are an indicator, exactly because they are defense mechanism.
The reason they are common in pf tek is cause spore syringes are inherently not clean and pf tek is often bacterial which is why we don't break it up to bulk.
Although, I do suppose kizzle coulda worded that paragraph better

Ok, thanks a bunch for your help! I guess it's another one of those aspects of this hobby that just requires some experience in the interpretation of what's going on
