1st time - could use advice

I got a couple bags and the one seems to be going much slower, but I guess I just wanted to make sure the faster bag looks normal and what step it's at....

I saw someone say they laid their side ways to get more, so that's what I did. I thought I saw green/gray when I first cut it open the other day and sprayed it a bit, but I'm not seeing it now?
Is it ready for light and does it look like it needs to be sprayed more? Assuming it even looks right. Some of the pics I see are fully white mycelium but others spotty white with tye mushrooms growing. I appreciate the help and advice.

Looks like you did an all in one grow bag. I would keep it vertical instead of opened on its side. Some gourmets like being fruited horizontally, but I don't think cubes do. Definitely looks way dry. I would consider a heavy misting or even a brief soak. I kinda see some of the green/blue you're talking about, but I can't really tell for certain at this point. Also, you're going to want to limit air flow out of the bag. I would cut a few small holes near the surface of the substrate and tie off the top. Like really small holes. I like to use 1/8th inch holes drilled in my tubs.

Yeah it's dry. Could use a mist.
Mycelium benefits from light at all stages. There is no reason to keep it in the dark.
It also doesn't look healthy. Looks like it wasn't ready to be cut open and is probably bacterial. Couple of the grains look green from the pic too.

That's the way she goes, boys. Sometimes she goes, sometimes she doesn't, cause that's the fuckin way she goes.

Since it sounded like the first bag was ruined, I gave up.
I'm not quite sure what's going on with the 2nd bag though...

yellow means bacteria has entered the party
It may still produce fruits but is likely to go moldy

Can't really remember what the textbook from shroomery academy says on this specific subject
but yeah, yellowing cubes arent generally considered great spawn, for them its considered a sign of less health rather than more
With cubes, you want to spawn usually, before any "natural" aging or yellowing sets in
However, for other psilocybes, and for other non-psilocybe mushroomms
Changing colour isnt neccessarily always a distinct sign of not being appliable as spawn, nor reduced health
I mean just read about yellowing over consolidated oysters, lions mane "piss" and shiitake in general looking mangled and fucked up compared to a "healthy" cubensis or natalensis or subtropica or semilanceata or panoleus or....
