Made Mistake??
    #28379783 - 06/30/23 05:41 AM (1 year, 6 months ago)

We’re growing our first batch. And are at the point where we have a beautiful flush of “pins” I think that’s what it’s called the white stuff on top, it’s been 2 1/2 weeks since it was “layered”
We looked at the video again to see what to do next and realized that we’d mistakenly put the coco coir on as the last layer 2 1/2 weeks ago.
Our question is do we just leave it and the mushrooms will just grow, or do we spread more coco coir over the top Now? The problem is it would have to be a thin layer as the grow box is almost full already. My husband and I are in disagreement, one of us say just leave it the coco coir is already there the mushrooms will come, or to spread a thin layer of coco coir on the top thinking there has to be some for the mushrooms to come through….
Would really appreciate your advice…. Thanks!!

Just leave it. They don't need a casing and they normally colonize the casing anyways.
