Casing layer uneven
    #28379224 - 06/29/23 04:25 PM (1 year, 6 months ago)

On my tub I put a thin layer of substrate on top to cover the grains. It’s been a week since spawning and one side is colonized way more than the other. I looked and I think I didn’t distribute the substrate on top evenly and it looks like a slope which the top of is the part that hasn’t shown much activity. My question is should I just leave it or should I scrape some substrate off the one high side an redistribut it?
I know I am very impatient and maybe I should just wait. I see tiny mycelium strands poking but my fear is the one side will pin and the other won’t.  Or that I’m suffocating the mycelium.
I basically really wanted to cover the grains because I had a problem with trich in a tub where I didn’t really care about covering them. But I don’t think I covered them by a crazy amount.
Should I wait longer or scrape?

Just leave it. You are not suffocating anything.

Ok thanks. I need to be more patient.
