Why is one growing and one not? (Same time/spores/bags/placement)

I'm a noob, first time growing. I got 2 spore syringes (same place) and 2 grow bags (both same kind). My husband and I sterilized everything and at the same exact time each inoculated a bag... same method...and put our bags on top the fridge (only place safe from kids till I finish my storage room this week).
We only inoculated Saturday so 5 days ago... but his bag is already clearly growing, it has lots of tomentose (fluffy) growth and my bag seems to have nothing at all. Any idea why ??

Please always include photos with your question if it is related to a grow.
I assume that you have inoculated you bags in open air and prepared the needle and inoculation port by wiping it with alcohol which is not sterilizing but sanitizing. Maybe you even flamed the needle which would mean you sterilized only one of the things. Spore syringes in general are not to be expected to be free of contamination. Using them to inoculate grain is much simpler than taking all the steps and precautions but is also more risky and bags might fail.
It's only 5 days and you say your husbands bag has lots of growth. This sounds to me more suspicious than your bag doing nothing yet. Mushroom spores will need a bit to germinate and grow out to produce lots of growth so it could be that his bag has a mold contamination. Maybe the spores had already germinated in his syringe before inoculation which can happen and in this case it could be all good. You are sure you ordered and received spore syringes and not liquid culture syringes?
So, things could still be alright but could also be the opposite. Really needs photos to help determine what is going on.

Okay, pics. His pretty bag v.s. my sad bag. The only difference I know of is placement on top of the fridge. I tried to hide mine in the back and he accidentally put his on top of the vent in the front... so I tried to same with mine for 2 days to see if it would have the same effect for mine... it didn't
Anyway, I bought all the supplies cuz I figure once these grow I would try my hand at prints, cultures and cloning (it's a new hobby... something I'm finally really excited about) but since mine seems to be lagging...
Any advice on best places to buy spore syringes or skip the spores and buy actual liquid culture syringes? I wanna try a few things.

Pics ^^

5 days is not that long and all you can do is keep it at room temp and wait.
If your goal is to try your hand on cultivating from scratch then I would skip the whole syringe to bag stuff and go for print to agar to grain.
Maybe your hubbies bag is producing enough to make both of you happy and to take some prints and clones.

To add a little to the good advice you've been given, if you do want to use spore syringes while you're waiting on getting agar up and running, (which actually doesn't take that long), look into PF Tek. I would also though recommend clean mycelium from agar to grain, or LC tested on agar to grain. I would recommend editing out the vendor names from your post however as that's discouraged here.
As to your situation with the bags right now, working with multispore there will almost always be variation simply due to different genetics. Throw in some slight differences with variables such as temperature and airflow and two bags that are otherwise identical can have quite major divergence in things such as speed of colonization. I wouldn't worry just yet. You never know, your bag may end up doing better than your husband's. It ain't over 'til it's over. As to where to get LC and spores, check out the trusted vendors on the site and also, when you have some more posts and have been here for a bit longer, the market place. Welcome to the Shroomery by the way.
