If it is actually sterilized then go for it...
Coir is coir usually. hopefully its high quality and holds water well.
Good luck!

Coco coir doesnt need to be sterilized or pasteurized if it doesnt have any random additives like trich in it. But it doesnt hurt

:whathesaid:

Helps the mushies break it down easier , and no nasties (not that it matters if you have axenic spawn)

You don't want any competing microbes.
Those posts are perhaps five years old or more.
Just hydrate it and use it mate, you wont have an issue.
I pasteurize my coir and even sometimes sterilize it in my PC.

You can just hydrate and use it straight with nothing else.
Pure coir with no additives is the best way to go in my experience.
When growing cubes you can just use coir as the casing and substrate.
If the coir is sterile it shouldn't have trich at all.
it should have nothing, hence: Sterile.

Bucket tek it.
One 5 gal bucket.
1 Gallon of boiling water
1 brick of coir.
combine water and coir in bucket and allow to cool.
this isn't true pasteurization however it's honestly all I've ever needed.

You honestly should not need or want to pasteurize but using boiling water never hurt anything.
The coir is sterile already..

You cant pasteurize something thats already been sterilized. And unless its manure, you dont need to
