Can I use monotub as fruiting chamber after using grow bags for growth?

First time cultivating. I injected spores into two grow bags and they are growing nicely - currently at about 30% of each bag is colonized. The instructions from the grow bags state that after the whole bag is colonized, I can cut the top portion off and loosely close it with a paper clip to initiate fruiting. While looking at youtube videos for info, it was stated that once the grow bag is fully colonized, I take the block out of the bag and place it in a monotub fruiting chamber so there is more surface area for fruiting.
I like this idea and purchased a premade monotub fruiting chamber. My questions are - Was this information accurate? Will using a monotub for fruiting yield more fruits since is more surface area (plus I can control the humidity better and automate the monotub, which I would not be able to do with the grow bag)?
Another question I have is - The tub that I bought comes with a black liner for the bottom, if I use the tub as a fruiting chamber, do I just place the grow bag block onto the black liner or should I put some sort of growth medium (perilite) in the bottom of the tub first?

No, it'll dry out the surface of the cake and not result in anything.
More surface area doesn't equal better yields. Yields are based on available resources.
Return that tub, it's a waste of money.

I transferred on of my all in one bags to a tub for one reason... The sub in my bag was extremely dry. I added water to the bag (I was desperate) let is soak for a few hours then made the transfer to a smaller plastic container and added a topping layer. Once that colonized I removed the cover and set the container in a water tub. I now have pins and blobs (PE). With that said, I am done with all in ones. I have clean myc on agar that will transfer to grain within a week and then to a water tub when the time is right. Most of the notes I am taking are what I have done wrong in these first attempts at cubes. Gotta say lions mane was / is a much easier grow for me

Oh ok, the yield based on available resources makes sense. So it seems the yield will be the same no matter what unless I add more substrate to the monotub and allow the organism to colonize that.
I do have a question about the drying out. The fruiting monotub I ordered is enclosed and with the lid on, the only ventilation are the filtered holes on the sides. If I keep the lid on and regularly mist the inside, will the humidity not remain high enough to prevent drying out the cake? I just feel like the tub may be easier to manage as its fully enclosed nature allows for better control of conditions vs the bag where I would just cut off the top and loosely close it with a paper clip. Perhaps I can just cut off the top of the bag and place the whole thing in the monotub for a more controlled environment?
Lastly - would you recommend I just use the bag and forget about the tub? I will likely keep the tub for a future monotub grow, for I can add a lot of resources for a lower price than the grow bags.
I appreciate your insight and help.
