Bioactive Metabolites and Potential Mycotoxins Produced by Cordyceps

I found this interesting as more and more people are advertising fungi supplements online, tiktok, social media, etc. While I applaud people learning about them more than ever, it seems that there is little in the way of warning about side effects or the dangers of mixing with other pharmaceuticals like blood pressure meds.

I came across this article while searching for the cons of taking daily doses of certain medicinals.  Share your thoughts or knowledge I'd love to read what any of you think regarding the study or just your experience with daily supplements of cordyceps, turkey tail, red reishi, lions mane, etc.

they mostly mention the cordycep species people don't usually grow or supplement with.

the article did not mention calcarisporiu;  the only very well known possible toxin in c. militaris.  Infact, one of the cordycep pics in this research paper is loaded with calcarisporium...  Quality is the #1 reason most of us serious about cordyceps don't buy the cheap "flowers" produced in china.

i started growing cordyceps serious when i started getting weak and inconsistent potency with mushroom revivals cordycep extract..  most products on the market have no integrity.

where would you recommend purchasing clean cultures from for militaris?
