Spiritual amnesia
    #28372393 - 06/24/23 08:08 AM (7 months, 1 day ago)

I will try to stop posting questions about "why is this a secret"? soon, but I don't think I'm properly communicating myself.

At the risk of stating the obvious, I'm clearly awestruck by all of this. I just don't know how effective I am going to be going on and on about it.

Let me try to clarify, as precisely as I can:

The discovery of the "ineffable", the existence of the mystical domain, is really the most astounding discovery I've ever made in my life. Right up next to the miracle of existence and being alive itself! This whole world is magical!!!!!

There's no way to put it other than I have a serious case of spiritual amnesia. And it's a pretty big deal. I just keep forgetting the revelations every single time. Every single time I take a drug, I "remember" again what I keep forgetting. And, then when the drug wears off, I "forget" again. Repeatedly. This happens over and over and over, and I don't know why people aren't making a bigger deal out of it. From what I've heard, it's the same way for other people--but I'm pretty much the only one to think this is a pretty big deal.

I think it's a big deal, because it demonstrates that certain mental states give rise to "thoughts" that are not possible in other mental states. Not simply that they aren't accentuated as much, but rather that they either exist in one state and don't in another. You're either there or not. There are potentially infinite mental states, and the number of worlds that can be accessed through them is therefore equally infinite. Since they are forever closed off to one another, you can't just a priori dismiss the existence of any one of them. Basically, this is a call for humility: we don't know what we don't know. And once you've experienced the impossible, the world starts to open up to you.

Do you see what I'm getting at?!?!?!?

I'm forever converted into being a "true believer" at this point. I know it's just another mask I'm wearing, but it feels more appropriate at this stage of my life. I've seen.

Yeah, I agree, and I’ve gotten that message before.

I feel like I was seriously lied to. It can’t just be me who feels so thoroughly lied to? Does anyone else feel like they were lied to?

I just thought all of this spiritual stuff was BS. I was fully convinced.

I know it’s all me to blame for feeling blindsided in the end, but this one hurts.

The reason why I thought this was BS was because all I ever heard about was stupid screaming battles between “science and religion”. It seemed like every month there would be a disagreement between evolution or the Big Bang of what have you, and every time the conversation would go nowhere. Then the spiritual gurus worked tirelessly to get me to not take anything with the slightest semblance of spirituality seriously. It seemed almost like my entire life was set up for me to be a disbeliever.

But, I now know that the house of cards that I built for myself has collapsed. I have converted.

I thought of eating loosh and loosh eaters, thought elementals transmuted to bliss, metaphorical (or not).

Probably better results from humans with spiritual amnesia, I'd guess.

Good results ime, if in the mood of the perspective, through mantra and the like. It's not an uncommonly used vocab. If we were to call loosh, emotion, usually that undesirable like fear, then plainly, exercise such as witnessing can work to remove oneself from the grasp. Can call it eating loosh if feeling sparky.

OK, this will be the last time I post about this in THIS way.

I get it. I finally get it. I will never get someone to provide an exact answer why reality exists. I give up. I understand this whole world is just a game.

But... I'll say... I am now WAYYYYY past playing the doubting game. And ready to just move on with what I need to do to cure my spiritual amnesia? It's not a matter of if this is real any more. I now just need advice.

What can I do to cure spiritual amnesia?

Thinking of the key,
each confirms a prison.

It's unusually hard to write. But you have it completely right The Blind Ass. Thank you!

I wanted to apologize to the world. In my attempt to point everyone who was a doubter, it was ME who was the doubter. I'm trying the best I can, but this is all very hard.

It's okay man, I understand.  I think many, if not all of us, have either been where you are, are there now,
or are returning from there - each in our own ways, though it's shared in too.
Although because the wake of reality is as endlessly wide as it is deep & vast and filled with infinitely infinite potential, we can at times also find ourselves lost in the mire of it due to the nature of things being so wonderfully primal it can stymie the intellect.

Luckily, if- when seemingly lost - and not knowing where to go?
One need only to turn around to find the shoreline.
Aha! In that way... We're always at home yet forever on the way!

Ho!!
