How long does it take you to harvest?

I’ve been working on harvesting a few shoeboxes today! I was just curious on how long it takes you all to harvest especially you people running monos!? It takes me atleast 90 minutes per shoebox I feel like I’m slow! Maybe I’ll get faster and better but right now harvesting is my least favorite part of the whole process!

If you have a fat flush like this, just have a good sword-like knife and make a horizontal dance. Don´t cut corners here, after a flush like this you shouldn´t make brains about another promising one. Get a long blade and cut them

No problem. Most people are afraid to hurt the mycelium network after such a harvest, but honestly yours looks so damn good, i´d finish after the first flush. No problem to push it further though. Very nice grow i must say

Thanks very much!! I put a lot of time in my research and agar work, about 4 months on agar before ever even spawning grain! I’ve read about every tek and plan to do a lot of experimenting so I can write my own teks in the future! This is all coir only so I’m real excited to get some Verm and start running monos!

Maybe I am careless or get meager flushes. It only takes me a few minutes. Or maybe your shoeboxes are humongous.
Now I'm doubting myself. But that canopy is amazing.

Vermiculite is for sure an addon, as it provides and spends tons of necessary moisture, without adding much of volume. But if you get such canopies, you won´t see a differnce adding it Don´t change a thing mate, just move on

Finally got that sucker harvested. 553 wet grams. Seems like a good amount for a 6qt shoebox but I’m not as satisfied. I was getting 330+ wet grams off 1qt in these tubs so I would have atleast hoped for 600g off 2qt spawn. Maybe my 12qt tubs will pull a little bit better flushes off 2qts. Also it may have been a hair more if I didn’t leave big stumps

More spawn doesn´t equate more yield my friend. If you want to step up, mix up more substrate. More substrate = more coir = more water. Shrooms are over 90% water, so that´s the point. The key is to have good genetics, and that´s absolutely given in your case. You can easily stretch to an 1:5 ratio at least when looking at your shrooms. So let´s say about a coir brick to 2 shoeboxes, even more. I have a pal being on industrial scale with button mushrooms, he mostly does a 1:40 ratio, no joke. So really, give them water and these damn great genetics For sure a bigger tub will give you more, but honestly your shoeboxes are at its best mate, prepare not to get that yield with another variety. Save this producer with a clone or take at least a print.
