Excellent. Though I wouldn't consider myself a 'L'ibertarian in the sense that I agree with every plan on the LP's platform, they are absolutely the best choice this November and one of the better current options to return this country to its roots.

i wouldn't be in favor of unrestricted immigration and i think they're a little ambiguous about environmental protection, but other than that, i pretty much agree with their entire platform.

I agree with you about the environmental protection. As for unrestricted immigration, I'd be all for it as long as we made sure they couldn't use taxpayer-funded social programs.

I'm all in favor of a generous and fair immigration policy, but unrestricted immigration is absolute madness. It's policies like that (I mean the kind that are totally disconnected from reality) that scare mainstream voters away from the party. There are 6 billion people on this planet, of whom tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions, have the desire and the wherewithal to move to the US (and by 'wherewithal' I mean everything from 'being able to walk across the US-Mexico border' to 'being able to fly there on their private jet'). Open the borders completely and they will do so, within a very short span of time. This will make wages plummet, create massive overcrowding, increase suburban sprawl, overwhelm the police and court systems, increase pollution, and in general wreak widespread havoc.

Yeah I hope if a libertarian was ever elected that policy would not go through. Texans and mexico would have a war again. Texans are out of work because of mexicans would have some horrible effects. The libertarian party seems like they dont care with minor bullshit IMO makes america shitty.

Chomsky, a libertarian socialist, has attained cult-figure status in the political arena with his outspoken political activism, and biting criticism of the U.S. capitalist machine. His basic argument is that true capitalism does not exist in reality. According to him, capitalism in the United States is a fa?ade intentionally created by the power structure in order to subjugate the masses, in the interest of the rich and powerful.

Chomsky, a libertarian socialist...
And "Libertarian Socialists" have nothing in common with the Libertarian movement in the US, nor with the US Libertarian Party. They are just another variant of Collectivist.
His basic argument is that true capitalism does not exist in reality.
Well, duh! As I and so many others have pointed out here on countless occasions, as yet there has been no Laissez-faire Capitalist society. Who is Chomsky's argument directed at?
According to him, capitalism in the United States is a fa?ade intentionally created by the power structure in order to subjugate the masses, in the interest of the rich and powerful.
This would presumably be the same "capitalism" that he says doesn't exist in reality.

Thanks but I knew where to find it. I just wanted to see if PinochhiAl would actually follow the rules or if the only time they matter to him is when they work for him.
Or to be more accurate.... show what most see for themselves already.

And "Libertarian Socialists" have nothing in common with the Libertarian movement in the US, nor with the US Libertarian Party
But left-wingers have an awful lot to do with libertarian thought around the world and for an awful lot longer since 1971 when the "US libertarian party" was founded. The idea that "Libertarian" thought refers only to the brand of capitalism you believe in is complete nonsense.
This would presumably be the same "capitalism" that he says doesn't exist in reality
No, read it again.

And actually, it came from an email someone sent me not the link pink supplied. But don't let the truth stop you, after all it never has before.

First, you've made many claims of lies, yet you've never backed them up. Will you do so now?
Second, you've never kicked my ass except in your own mind.
Third, it wasn't a flame. It was an accurate representation of the facts.
Fourth, whether you follow the rules or not isn't up to me. I just find it funny that a whiner practices the same behavior he whines about.
Fifth, sure it came from an e-mail. Sure.
