Very small fruits

So I have been messing with some Cambodians, lately all I can get is super small fruits. And I mean tiny. Basically looks like pins that are fruiting maybe the biggest is .5in. I have a super nice pinset just no size so I’m sitting here wondering do I take a clone and try to isolate on agar to get bigger fruits? Is that even possible? I’m guessing that it’s the genetics that are making them small but I’m stuck wondering what to do.
Any suggestions?

Use agar to clone and get better results. Presuming you’re using MSS

Nah been running these jars off of an agar transfer from some time ago. Just kept with it thinking it might get better over time but I’m sick of getting dinky fruits. Was hoping to see a better genetic pop up but it’s all just small

Would go back to spores and search for a better clone if at all possible , you may have just isolated so bad genetics haha

I wonder if substrate ratio and therefore the amount of available moisture for the mycelium, has any bearing on mushroom size?

I have wondered that myself. Currently I’m way over doing the ratios. 8 spawn jars to 10 coir jars.
I believe it’s just bad genetics but just curious if I couldn’t get better genetics by cloning and then taking different sectors off the agar as it grows out
