I can prepare a dummies guide for an automated humidifer and airation
    #28367223 - 06/20/23 01:16 PM (7 months, 4 days ago)

Hello guys,

Love you all.

I'm considering creating a fully automated tub for growing mushrooms and would appreciate your thoughts. My idea involves building a DIY ultrasound piezo humidifier and implementing a system to measure ambient humidity or field moisture. By running the piezo in cycles, I aim to automate the growing process.

I'm also thinking of using Hepa 13 filters on the tub's side and PC fans with controllable cycles to circulate air effectively.

If you think this idea has potential, I already have a clear plan in mind. I can provide a beginner-friendly guide for creating a plug-and-forget system that is fully automated and accurately measured.

Please share your input, suggestions, or any relevant resources you may have.

Thank you for your time, and I'm excited to hear your thoughts.

Read more, over-engineer less.  Theres absolutely no reason to add all that shit to a tub for cubes.

Honestly, if you can over engineer it. Over engineer it. No such thing as over engineered, just engineered to work. Yes you can buy a pre manufactured 32$ 7L humidifier but this is a more tangible learning experience. I say go for it. I remember FAE and humdity being the things I dreamed of automating. So I bought a humidifier and will soon buy an aquarium air pump. should be worth it. and save me alot of effort so I can do other stuffs.

You should think about using an Arduino/ Raspberry Pi for the humidity control and monitoring. I know in the aquarium world someone was working on a similar setup called leviathan I believe. It's controlling trace elements in saltwater setups. I would think it would be pretty easy to get an RH detector and pair it with a misting system like you are saying. People love the single board computers!
