Hello everyone! I recently moved my cake because it was pinning mostly on the sides and bottom and I wanted to flip it. Everything has been going perfectly besides this. The cake seemed completely white and colonized and the apes are coming in finally! The only issue is that I came home to this white contam! What is it? I don’t want to jump to cobweb but it does look similar! If so can someone please link me to some cobweb solutions? Any help is appreciated! The sooner the better! Thank you!

No solution mate. Looks like pin mold and some other black spots. If some fruits make it they´re usually fine (visually and smelly !!!) but i fear the fuzz will overrun fast as there are several outbreak points.

Yeah no hope, unfortunately. That contam will outgrow your shrooms rapidly. Toss it before it sporulates.

Right now it’s my only cake going so I think I’m going to try to experiment. It did seem to be cobweb as when I used a diluted peroxide solution the growth immediately came down. (Yes I know peroxide isn’t really recommended anymore but it’s already contamed, right? Better a little bit of damaged mycelium than a lost cake, atleast that’s what I figured haha.) Also just so everyone knows the dark spots are not mold! It’s aborts because I took too long to flip this cake waiting for top pins (I couldn’t get my surface conditions right, clearly.) also everything still smells and looks great besides the small contam spots. I’ve also been trying my best to keep the area not so moist to avoid possible re-contamination. Anyways thank you so much for the suggestions but I think I’m just gonna let them go for it and hope for the best! Will keep the thread updated on wether or not I have any success.

Just remember you may be contaminating future or current grows.
