So I'M very new to this hobby and totally into it! I read, I mean I read a lot like no fucking life a lot. Not sure when it happened but I used to be cool ๐ I mean really fucking cool, now I'm a Mycology nerd barely leave my house, and I love it! I'm experimenting with with all kinds of shit I learned on this forum from some good people. Thank you ๐ Just wanted to share with you my newest LC experiment. On 6/13 I did some g2g transfer's from 3 masters I saved from my first MSS attempt/ run. (Lost only 3 to contams out of 18 qts) I was pretty excited with that result and learned quite a bit. So I think it was from mushboys thread where I read about shooting sterile water into the spent jar after completing the g2g transfer's. Then using that solution to innoc some sterile broth and make LC from it. So fucking cool couldn't see shit in the syringe when I shot it into my broth. Today crystal clear broth with hundreds of small floaters of mycelium in them! Just a fews days and some and some "spent jars" and I've extrapolated my culture enormously WOW ๐ฒ I'm doing science and shit lol ๐ Old head out! THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE, Anybody that's read my posts knows what kind of stuff I've gone through this year and the kind words from some of you have made a difference to me! And the fact that I've kept these entities alive and flourishing, when I couldn't do it for those I loved has somehow helped me get through this shit! My shoe boxes are close to full Colonization and will be introducing fresh air and light any day now. I can't wait to see my very own cultivated shroom! NICE!! ๐
RIP ASH RIP PEACE JAIME RIP PEACE CHRISTOPHER RIP EDDIE I MISS YOU ALL TERRIBLY

Good to see this. By the way, there is no need to wait for full colonization, or in general to wait to introduce light and air. It was established some years ago that there is no real benefit to separate so called fruiting conditions. Introducing slight, constant, passive air and a little light from the get go, are beneficial to mycelium at all stages.

Hey Jon hope all is well in CO. I guess I better start checking the dates on all these posts I read duh! ๐ This isn't the first time that you have pointed out current technique vs old shit. I wasn't sure about the proper timing and seemed like it was faster for bulk colonization in the dark. I thought I could get a better pin set by allowing the cake to completely colonize prior to giving it lots of fae? If you get a chance a few pointers on what to do from this point would be great. Some times I think I'm smarter than I am ๐ค Anyway thanks for keeping up with me it's cool to know that someone out there finds what I'm doing at least somewhat interesting. Thanks Jon
