B+ Strain Tips - best temperatures, substrate, etc.

Does anyone have tips or a link to info specific to growing the B+ strain? - temperatures for spawning and then fruiting? - best mediums/methods for spawning & fruiting? - how long to expect for parts of process?
I tried before and mycelium started out great then died off.
Here is what happened before:
My first ever grow attempt. I got Golden Teacher (GT) & B+ syringes. I inoculated grain bags I bought ready for use. Stuck bags under the bed. B+ mycelium started growing right away but GT did NOTHING for 2-3 weeks.
I mixed grain for B+ around when grain bag was about 1/3 colonized.
I did keep messing with them - my first time and all...
Since GT was doing nothing I moved all bags to top shelf in closet. (Warmer, darker)
GT suddenly took off but B+ seemed to die off!!! White mycelium mostly disappeared. I moved some B+ back under bed but they never came around.
I ended up getting a crop out of the GT in shoe boxes which I posted about in this forum. I put some B+ in substrate but mostly grew mold and threw it out.
I'm sure I did multiple things sub-optimally, so I'm going to be more methodical this time.
I really want to try B+. So I ordered a new syringe and I'm planning to make my own grain & gypsum jars. Then transfer to shoe boxes with cocoa coir, gypsum & vermiculite substrate. Unless people say there are better mediums to use. I could do PF Tek with the brown rice flour.
I did not do PF Tek the first time because I read you get more fruit other ways. But if PF Tek is more fool proof, some is better than none!
Thoughts?
ALSO - Today I discovered 2 b+ bags still in my closet - I thought I'd tossed them. One has a chunk of mycelium at the top -- about 1/8 cup. Is it worth trying to fruit something like that? I probably inoculated the bag about 3 monts ago now. (This time I'll keep a grow log, I can do it. I can be organized...)

Honestly, if you're intent on using syringes I suggest doing BRF. Might as well go the water tub route, most success I've seen. It may take longer but you will have more success in the end and will allow you to get a culture onto agar for later use. Once you have a clean culture on agar you can then go big with grains using the agar as your inoculate. Skipping directly to syringe to grain isn't the best idea and can have some success but you saw how it can go green easy.

Thanks - as a new person how would I get some mushrooms started without a Spore syringe?
is "Water tub" the same as "Dub tub" or the "Monotub"? (I'm not finding any info searching). The monotub sounds like a good method I'm just afraid of getting it contaminated and losing the whole crop.
I have a syringe of B+ and want to get it going soon. Sounds like my best bet is to do the BRF/vermiculite in jars method with it. (AKA PF-TEC?)

Get yourself an SAB, everything should be done inside your SAB to prevent contamination: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/23990888#23990888
Start with Spore Syringe -> Brown Rice Flour. You have some reading to do. PFtek: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/24179086 Water Tub tek: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26601054
Then once you have fruits pick out a nice looking one and clone it onto agar. It's easy to clone, just cut out mycelia from the middle of the stem(aka the "Stipe") and place it on agar to grow. You can then use this agar culture to make grain jars that wont mold out because you used clean agar - or we assume you will use clean agar that's up to you.
agar: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/19208976 and why agar: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/28188696#28188696
You can gather spore on a print like so: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/24461957 Once you have a print you can use those spores to make more syringes: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=26011681&page=0&vc=1#26011681 Those same spores can also be placed onto agar to continue your cultivation.

THANK YOU - this is SO helpful. I really appreciate you linking some specific topics for me to read in order! As a newbie I'm trying to read up before asking questions that probably been answered many times -- but I end up jumping around and halfway reading fifty different things. Starting one method then getting excited about another and switching part way through without a clear plan for the next step...
But hey, I did get some mushrooms from my first attempt. I expect things will just get better and better now.

ayyyyyy, no problem. Just follow those teks to their finish, you'll end up with agar plates with cultures, spores, so many options you will be jumping around trying all kinds of different teks.

here's a real world example, except I had no choice but to start with grains, it is safer to start with BRF. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/28282366/fpart/3 You can see that I had a lot of contamination as well putting spore directly to grain.
