Cob Web Mold?

Hey everyone,
First time grower here attempting Golden Teachers. I’m having a hard time distinguishing this bag whether it’s cob web mold or if it’s mycellium and the colonization is going good! Any tips and advice would be great. I have another bag that doesn’t look the same so I’m assuming it is mold.
Off topic, but a day before I noticed it, I had a dream that that bag specifically was contaminated before there were any signs. I thought it’d be best to get on here and ask some experience growers before I make any hasty decisions. I did get the bag in the picture away from the other as soon as I saw what might be cobweb mold!

Looks fine to me, likely just a different colony. I’m assuming you didn’t start with an isolate.

those look fine enough to me too. cobweb moves super fast, like will overtake the surface in a day or two & is a weird whispy grey color. no need to toss it or anything, & don't worry about "treating it" or anything. just let it do its thing

pic 2 yep that just looks like a puffy possibly stressed fruiting block, maybe too dry. pic 1 looks like myc but kinda clumpy, possibly very baccy.

They both look a little dry to me, maybe revisit your field capacity procedure next time?
IMO it’s difficult to judge field capacity as the traditional “squeeze test” is different for everyone because of different grip strengths.
Just experiment and see what works for you

These look like all in one bags. They come pre prepared from vendors, usually with manure and a mix of other substrate. Highly unlikely this is close to field capacity or that a test was ever done.
They both need to have small beads of moisture on the surface at all time ideally. I'd give it a mist and keep the top mostly closed so it doesn't dry out too fast. They still need some fresh air exchange as well though.

For future grows avoid kits or all-in-ones. try pf tek or learn agar

I’ve got them in a green house where there’s a controlled humidifier as well as heat and air circulation. I was worried they were getting too much water at first, until I read your reply and evaluated what’s going on a bit more. Thank you!
I did not like the method I went for this first attemp. Started with grain bags then separated them into the substrate bags. If these don’t turn out I’m definitely going a different route.

Cubes often do better in just totes with non airtight lids, on a shelf with some ambient light by the way. Humidifiers and such tend to make things worse much of the time, not better, and are unnecessary for most situations.

So I have them in a greenhouse that acts as a tub. I decided to transfer them to pans. Thinking I may have messed up big by doing this. The humidifier has a controller so it only is on to keep in the 65%-75% humidity. I've been using it less and just misting myself because it's pretty humid here in Iowa. There's a fan down below to circulate air and the heater is off as well. Probably did a bit too much being it's my first time. Looking at the pans would you confirm it's not a thick enough substrate/Casing?
I'm growing GT's and started inoculation on April 10th. This is supposed to be colonization stage before pinning. Do you suggest I still let some light flow through the room?
(One of the pictures wasn't able to be zoomed in on. There are only two)

Your greenhouse is doing more harm than good. Your surface conditions aren't great and the mycelium isn't healthy.
If you were going to transfer them to anything, it should have been tubs with lids.
All the misting and drying/fans has matted the mycelium and the colonization of the substrate looks problematic and kind of like contamination to me.
I'd suggest moving them to tubs with lids or sticking a bag over the top and poking some holes in it and hoping for the the best.
Also, most of us give our tubs light from the moment they get spawned. No reason to try to keep them in the dark.

Just stick the tubs on a shelf with some ambient light and non airtight lids. Mist as needed, not on a schedule and avoid fanning.

Thought I’d give it a fighting chance. Whipped up a vermiculite and coco substrate and threw it all in a tub. Whatever happens happens. Lessons have been learned haha
