Haha.. thought this was gonna be another ”I took random shit home because I thought it would grow magic mushrooms” thread.. but by god, you actual did it I will say, you’ll probably want to confirm those are cubensis with bruising and a purple spore print but they definitely look like cubes already
Nice job. Look into printing to keep it going. Here’s a good printing tek

Yeah I don't have any suggestions besides agar but it doesn't seem like something that you are trying to get into.
Cool grow!

if you were to just add substrate and or poop compost you MAY keep them going, but it would take time before you knew and they probably wouldnt thrive. best plan would be swab them, print them or clone them, and then give them good growing conditions.

I was expecting to take issue with this, but I can't. Well done.

You should clone one and start a grow with it. Just make multiple agar plates for redundancy, just in case one contams. Also be sure to bruise it and take a spore print to make sure it's really a cube.

Nice one! This is actually how I got started growing but I never used a tub so you’re well up on me there. I’d usually go picking at the start of the season, take home a few good nuggets but on the way back pick up a few bags of horse poo (hopefully there’s stables nearby) otherwise grab bags of that or cow poo from a garden or hardware store, find a semi shady spot in your yard and spread out the poop about 2inches deep mixed with straw, add a thin layer of straw on top and plant your nuggets. Water lightly every 1-3 days depending on weather but rain/storms are your friend, I’d normally have fairly consistent shrooms all season. If you’re sticking to the tub idk, maybe try adding more poop but either pasteurise it if it’s from the side of the road or store bought usually comes pre pasteurised, and maaaayyyybe your original myc will colonise it or there might be some other spores ready to go, but either way make sure to let us know how you went 👍

I'd take prints and / or clone fruits and start a new, clean grow.
That poo is full of contamination, get rid of it.

You won’t find many to support poo in a tub here, maybe check the outdoor grow thread and see if there’s anything relatable you’d like to try. Also what’s in that poo is most likely almost spent so cutting it up after its fruited most likely won’t result in much, if anything unless there’s remaining spores that somehow manage to take. You’ve probably got the bug now so just start reading, then reading more and learn to use the search engine, it’s good once you get used to it and if your hearts set on doing what you’re doing now, go back to the field and collect more poo with myc and preferably small fruits (pins) just starting to form, they’re your best chance of mycelium being able to spread and further grow.

sterile tissue transfer from mycelium INSIDE one of the mushrooms stems, into sterile media (grain jars, bags, etc) would be my quick n nasty way of keeping that going.

Usually we recommend water tubs around here. For you though...
I recommend learning agar and cloning asap. The very least taking a spore print while u learn agar then growing it fresh and cleaning it up.
The poo in our home... you even has the grass I'm impressed! Please continue to send pictures of them they look fascinating in the domesticated wild
-------------------- Don't listen to any of my advice cuz I ended up with extreme HBP and nearly died. So I'm a literally an idiot. Don't let me guide u lol. I'm just trying to heal myself.. then I can be better for my family

This is actually what Im going to try.. I bought a sterilized substrate specifically for cubensis.. im going to put the cut stems in there to try and get it to leap off and start colonizing.. Thanks for the suggestion!
