Is there a way to clean a room where a contaminated monotube has been?

Clean spawn is the best remedy for trich. It is all around us anyway. When I ran my natalensis I pushed them all to between 6-8 flushes because they kept producing decently and I had nothing else in the works. Every shoebox eventually triched out and was tossed. I didn't do any cleaning to my grow space. My next run I didn't see trich at all until I threw out my shoeboxes because they quit producing and I had more stuff ready to go. Also this is a really old thread.

This is actually pretty epic for a necro thread.
Everything that we'd say about trich, its origins, and the impossibility of "treating" it was already said 22 fucking years ago. And someone is probably on reddit right now talking about salt, peroxide, and the importance of dialing in moisture content to avoid it.
We also got a great indicator of a poster who is likely just filling their post count out to get into the marketplace.

As sort of mentioned, it's more of a general spore load type thing. The idea is to keep the room clean and get rid of trich-infested material before it sends out massive spore clouds. I basically let 2/3rds of my tubs go until I finally see some green, then remove the container from the room and dump it in the compost outside. That will definitely be the last thing I do on that day, or at the very least before taking a shower and changing clothes. Other than that, no additional cleanup or precautions. I still only see the green on very old and neglected substrates and/or ones that were bacterially compromised.

I'm new to the forum and I didn't know where to start a thread on my own so I commented on a random one

Ok so it doesn't stay around if you don't see it. My room is quite clean so I probably did wrong with the substrate, and probably wrongly pasteurised the horse manure. I have to try with coco coir next.

You're necroing a post that's over twenty years old. It's helpful to generally pay more attention to posts that are at least fairly recent. One reason that necroing old posts is often frowned upon is that there can be outdated, or incorrect advice in posts that are very old.
The main thing that I would add in relation to Trich is to concentrate on clean spawn and, for cubes using substrate that is on the more inert side, such as just coir, or coir and verm. The main thing really is clean spawn to begin with.
