I want to grow several types of oysters and the lions mane mushrooms. Once they are grown, I have a person out of state who wants some.
My question is, how is the best way to transport them (ship them)? Since they are fresh the obviously go bad within a week or so...can I vacuum seal them to keep them ok for a while? Or would I have to dry them first? Any suggestions or feedback would really help.
Those are 2 very hard species to preserve fresh. You definetly do not want to seal them up fresh, they will rot even faster. Dried would be your best bet. Maybe if you packaged them fresh in breathable containers and sent them overnight...
