My entire life I've had an incredibly high aptitude for violence, but was always taught that it was wrong.

I've experienced a lot of nasty violent things in my life.
my best friend being stabbed to death in front of me when I was 14, putting a junkie garbage person in a wheelchair when I was in my early 20s.
It really begs the question, is violence always wrong?
Do some people deserve violence?
There has to be sometimes where people deserve to be hurt or beat up right?
Are there times where the righteous should smite the wicked?
I was raised by hippie women that taught me that violence is always wrong.
As I've gotten older I really think more and more that's all crap.
The only way to really change things is with violence.
All that MLK crap about changing the world with dreams and talk and turning the other cheek is such garbage.
A lot of the time the only things people respect are strength and brutality.

If you are the most accepting, understanding and, patient person on the planet, people will still try to test you and push the limit just because they can.

I just love when garbage people get killed or have their teeth knocked down their throats.
Is that wrong?

Good people don't relish violence, they just know sometimes it has to happen whether they like it or not.

Sometimes you have to get violent with people to make them understand there are lines you don't cross without consequences. Those situations should not be occuring regularly though. If they are you need to consider why you keep ending up in them.

Violence is sometimes necessary, especially in self defense or defending others. Cruelty is never justified. How much violence is needed in order to stop someone's behavior? Stomping on someone after the person can no longer stand or has given up fighting can hardly be considered necessary and doing so is nothing but cruelty. Seeking violence when it is  not necessary to seek it should give you a clue that something is wrong on the roof.

100% Annon #4. Great response. I feel like violence is necessary in specific situations. Also, its the reason why the death penalty exists: the ultimate consequence for committing violent crime(s). Some people only understand violence and thus thats the only way some learn a lesson.

Violence is always wrong.

there is no valid justification.

But if the 1200 worst offenders of the third reich were packed in the Krema II gas chamber of Birkenau, i would mask up, glove up, punch open 4 cans of Zyklon B, chuck them down the 4 vents, replace the lids, say a prayer and head for lunch.

its wrong, absolutely.

But knowing something this gnarly happened to the worst offenders would make it a lot easier on a lot of the victims, i'd be willing to take on the karma for that.

it would make the healing journey for the victims so much easier, thats worth giving myself nightmares over.

in this case, yes i'd trolley over 1200 very specific people knowing the remorse would ruin the rest of my life but millions would experience relief.

I feel that way too. We get a strong sense of retribution when we enact revenge. But, it is a dilusion and a fantasy that it will make things better. Often having all that anger inside really darkens the mind and causes all sorts of other problems that are better dealt with without anger. I can't tell you how many times anger has ruined a relationship for me and gotten in the way of me loving someone. But there was that one time where I really put that shithead in the place. Once the scales are balanced, did anger really help you or did it cause more harm then good? People will think you're weak if you don't show anger and fight. Let them think your weak and harmless. It is a better way to live by far in the times that I've experienced it. Wish I could have less anger honestly.
