adrenal issues post trauma
    #28303738 - 05/02/23 04:19 PM (8 months, 22 days ago)

without getting to far into it, i survived a random violent crime over a year ago. i do therapy, PT, ketamine therapy in regular intervals, meditate, yoga yada yada.  i run regularly and do hiit training.  im fit and all that.

so i got tests done at the doc and ive got low adrenals.

i find suppliments online.  ashwaganda and L-theanine (?).  quite pricey.  im technically disabled and im quite broke.

anyone?

edit before anyone asks: i dont smoke, drink, or take any other sups.  i did have a bit of a kratom issue but im proud to say my daily dosage is like 4g which isnt shit. no weed.  i take small doses of shrooms here and there.

im tired of feeling like dogshit.

You're still taking kratom daily? 4g of kratom isn't really a small dose, if you're dependent on  a drug that causes such bad withdrawals for so many people that could definitely contribute to your energy issues. When I took krarom I noticed it also kind of decimated my deep sleep even when I felt like I had slept through the night

Other than the kratom it sounds like you're doing all the right things, sometimes it really just takes time to recover. Remember that supplementing with anything to increase neurotransmitter/hormone activity will usually cause your body to produce less of whatever you're supplementing for over time, and as tolerance builds and the supplement loses effectiveness you may end up worse off than before.

I gotta agree about the Kratom.  Not sure what your exact deficiency is but I'll leave this for ya; maybe it somewhat applies?

I don't know a lot about the issue. I remember my friend had it and her specialist told her to cut out caffeine and coffee. And that is what remedied it.

I agree!

But on the kratom issue-- I agree with feevers. 4g daily doesn't seem like much until you stop cold turkey. It's at that point you realize that it does have a hold on you. I know this from the experience of stopping daily use multiple times over the years. I could titrate down to 1-3g/day and feel pretty ok, but as soon as I stopped completely it was a shit show. I'd have pretty significant WD symptoms that would last far too long. If you're able do yourself a favor and try to leave kratom in the rearview. I don't hate kratom--I think it does have medicinal value, but like any medicine it also has side effects.

Feel better BSJ

So how you feeling? I feel like if you make it to day 3 or 4 without major issues you're going to be one of the fortunate (and perhaps more common) folks that don't experience major WD symptoms.

I use kratom a few years ago and after a few weeks started upping the dose chasing that "high" feeling like opiates give you. But the larger doses started giving me all types of problems that I did not become aware of right away. Sleep problems, headaches, grumpiness, stomach problems and even headaches and pressure.

I stopped taking it for a few years and recently started taking it again for my pain. It was amazing the first week or two and then I started increasing the dose again and the same thing with symptoms started.

In conclusion stick to a small dose of kratom and then cycle it. Try not to do large doses because it does make problems.

Curious how you're feeling now I stopped a similar habit two days ago and have fairly significant fatigue and sleep problems.  I was on much stronger opiates in my past though.

It took me 8 years to overcome jealousy and fomo by entering a single lifestyle and involving myself with people in poly relationships. Now I can even appreciate the ex that cheated all those years ago without the associated jealousy I've previously held on to.

I still have anxiety at times but I face it relatively very well nowadays, I headbut that shit yo.

Modafinil is pretty good for facing charging moments but isn't easy to get and requires planning if you intend on sleeping.

Open communication about my sexuality and fantasies with partners has also helped to alleviate adrenal anxiety superbly.

Instead of backing up or choking on my own thoughts and fantasies I just share them with people who are also good at communicating and can confirm their desires too, or respectfully reject said things.

Got to make the mood before you move

Green light, orange light, red light etc.
