Github Open Source Shroomery Site Design Code

For those of you new to Github, here's what "they" do there . . .
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GitHub
For example, a person who wanted to design an insect identification site similar to www.mushroomobserver.org, could attempt to modify their code, which is available here . . .
https://github.com/search?q=mushroom+observer
A friend tried finding similar code based on The Shroomery . . .
https://github.com/topics/open-source?q=shroomery
Unfortunately, no results are currently available.
Who would design a site based on The Shroomery code if it was provided on Github? If you wouldn't, what ethical, legal alternatives would you try instead?

Considering how often we get people complaining about how outdated the site is (with no actual details) and how they don't use the site because it's so outdated, not modern enough, etc etc etc, I doubt anyone would make anything useful based on its source.
Instead, I imagine it'd be mainly used to find new exploits and to spoof the site for various reasons.

PHP bulletin board type code is easy to get. A search of that term will turn up many projects, like this one.
https://github.com/r3c/yaronet
I've been a member on all sorts of boards like this over the years, am still an active member on maybe 4. Sure they are less popular with social media addicting internet users everywhere, but they are really far more personal and social.

ShamanAustralis, DMT-Nexus, BleepingComputer, PetMiceFanciers, SoberRecovery, ModWiggler, LinuxQuestions.
Some I've posted a lot on. Others not listed I've loved have and closed down. I can only recommend them if you're interested in the topics they focus on, in which case they are all great communities and you'll find like minded and educated people.

I used to gripe about certain aspects of this website but I've come to appreciate that it's still set up the way it is.
New/Script-Kiddy type exploits are more likely focused around the most common softwares- which, while likely more secure by default, may open up the shroomery to a host of vulnerabilities and exploits that it has manually safeguarded against one by one.
Anyone really wanting to either find vulnerabilities for the purpose of 'ransom' or something even more malicious is more likely to need to tailor their attack to the specific software PLUS an unknown number of individual safeguards
my guess. im not a software engineer or hacker.
reddit was cooler when it looked like shit too tbh
