A couple of days ago I found some sporeless Psilocybe subaeruginosa near Auckland:

A few feet away there was some Galerina marginata that was stained green with the dye in herbicide:

Psilocybe sp. "jellysubs"
In wood chip landscaping. Taste strongly farinaceous, with no hint of radish or other flavors.

Leratiomyces ceres
In wood chip landscaping. Many thousands of fruit bodies seen.

Pholiotina utricystidiata
In wood chip landscaping. Mild flavor, similar to Psathyrella. Cap and stem dry.

Gymnopilus sapineus group
In wood chip landscaping, veil white, extremely bitter. Cap subviscid, stem dry. Context yellow.

Agrocybe pediades
Farinaceous taste, growing in wood chip landscaping.

Hypholoma sp.
In wood chip landscaping. Fluorescent in 365 nanometer ultraviolet light.

Really interesting almost navy blue around the margins in the first picture.

My god, those are beautiful!
Edit. Just out of curiosity, do you normally save spore prints? And did you save any from that collection?

I try to print everything because I get much better spore photos when there is no gill tissue to push up the coverslips, and I can get all the spores into the same focal plane. I was told that the angulospora doesn't drop visible prints so I didn't try to print them, probably should have.

The Mycena ura stems are amazing!
Someone needs to invent something that can detect herbicides on mushrooms collected in urban habitats, I wonder how many people consume certain toxins and don't realize it.
It would be akin to how one can buy testing kits for certain things one might procure at a concert. That Galerina pic is interesting.
