Todays findings (Aumsville, Oregon) ID please?
    #2833919 - 06/27/04 05:44 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

I found a cluster of some small brown mushies today on the side of some rotting bark.

Not sure what they are...

Stems are small and thin like, with a light brown color

Caps are soft, thin, with darker brown areas....

Any identification is a major help:

the cap doesnt seem to be dropping any real distinct prints (after 2 hours) just a bunch of random little black specks.

im gonna let it sit overnight to see if it produces a better print.

were they already open when you picked them? maybe they dropped most of their spores already. and as far as the pics....I'm not even gonna go there.

I have some business to attend to in Aumsville, perhaps we could meet up.

Tip: Don't keep mushrooms in plastic bags! Use paper or a basket when harvesting.

Joshua, I've been grillin on mushrooms for years, but am fairly new hunting and identifying them myself...

I am a Salem resident though, although aumsville is just outside and I knew of some good public forest land to stroll along in... I would be more than happy to meet up and go hunting or even just smoke a fat bowl and chill, there is still a lot more i need to learn about mushroom hunting.

go ahead and send me an e-mail c3_2k@yahoo.com or IM me at volcomcriddler77
