Mouldy bread near my stove!
    #28338555 - 05/28/23 06:16 PM (1 year, 7 months ago)

So Im doing my first ever cultivation

Currently steaming my jars, and realise theres an unoped pack of mouldy bread on the floor. Shall i ignore it? Or haul to the trashcan outside ?

I keep opening my lid to add water a few times too. Stay away mould!

What shall i do with this pack of mouldy bread? I feel like if i touch it, it will be worse than leaving it there lol

Here's my "Samurai's moldy bread in cultivation area garbage disposal tek". First you'll need a clean garbage bag, disinfectant (i use 70% rubbing alcohol), hand sanitizer, hand soap, a working sink with running water, a garbage can, clean paper towels, a change of clean clothing, a dust mask, disposable gloves, large piece of cardboard and a sterio boombox with a phatty breakbeats mix tape.

Liberally spray bag of bread and area around bag with disinfectant without touching bread bag. Let sit 5 minutes. Take garbage bag and open it up, place it OVER the top of the bag of moldy bread. Use it like you would use a plastic bag to pickup dog poop, but instead of poop it's a bag of moldy bread. Immediately spray area where bread was with disinfectant liberally, until wet. Spray gloves on hands. Without fluffing the opening of the bag gently close and tie a knot in the garbage bag so no air will escape. Spray outside of garbage bag. Remove and dispose of garbage bag in waste receptacle outside of cultivation area. Allow area to remain wet for 5 minutes and then wipe excess leftover liquid with paper towels. Pray for the souls of all the microbes you have genocided. Dispose of mask, gloves and dirty paper towels. Wash hands with soap and water. Change clothing (especially important if, like me, you couldn't resist giving the moldy bread a hug and kiss goodbye before disposal). Apply hand sanitizer liberally to hands, rubbing until dry. Turn on music on boom box. Throw down cardboard flat on ground.  Breakdance (caution: ONLY breakdance outside of your cultivating area). Upon finishing dancing strike a victorious pose and say "yeah, boi!" Await inevitable applause from audience. Try not to cry.

Just throw it in the trash as normal. There are nearly always mold spores in the air anyway. Spraying the room down and acting as though you have some extreme biohazard in your kitchen won't do much of anything and there's no need to complicate things. Avoid spores to grain. Work carefully in a SAB. Pay attention to getting your spawn clean. That's pretty much it.

I'm never quite sure here. Plus, I can just picture someone on Reddit coming across this thread and thinking that the Boombox and break dancing are mandatory.

Or pf tek. But not grains since that is likely to cause contamination. All moldy bread is inherently unsterile and should be treated as dirty. Never go bread to grains.

Just spray with H2O2 and it will even be fine to consume.

Aww... but my moldy bread disposal tek could've been my ticket to getting my TC stamp thingie. Besides following my advice to the letter, while not totally scientifically proven or double blind tested, or even third party audited, would make a person feel as if they went the extra mile and leaves one with the feeling of accomplishment. Even if some feel it overkill.

In seriousness... All that being said, I'm glad you took it as a jest and didn't let it upset you. It was meant to make you laugh.
