Server goes live in 10 days!
Personally I can't wait, I've been looking forward to this for years.

I heard that game was garbage
I am still on the fence about d4, despite ARPGs and Diablo being my favorite. Mostly because I will need a new computer. I did get my bonus from work today, so maybe

Will it not be just like diablo 3? I found the diablo games to be too much mindless mob killing. Diablo 2 was OG of course, but D3 was kind of boring, and i cant distinguish the gameplay of D3 from D4 videos
I wish i could play classic wow again fresh like we did in 2004. That was an epic time! Good MMOs arent a possible reality anymore.,theyre all wrecked by average casual consumer preferences

D4 has an open world map and everyone is thrown in there together, some sort of community dynamics there. I don't know how the RPG element will translate with the dungeon crawler type game. It's a long time in the making though, hopefully that translates to an epic installment. Early beta reviews are mostly 5 *, but maybe just by fanbois.
Gonna find out soon.

The main draw for me is the mindless mass slaughter + dopamine rush of the number go up loot cycle. It scratches a fundamental gamble impulse I have in a pretty cheap way. As a reference, I played the hell out of D2, but because I play Path of Exile (another loot grind ARPG) through steam, I know in the past 3 years I have put @1500 hours into that game, and I have been playing it for 10 years, so probably 5k hours in entertainment. I am not an addict!

I played the open beta, not sure I would go 5*, but the early part of the game felt pretty damn good

If I was into PC games these days I would be all for it. Diablo 2 around the age of 11 and 12 has to be top shelf video game memories for me.
I have PoE on PS4 that kind of scratches the itch nearly perfectly but I haven't booted that thing up in years now.
Currently I'm playing Tears of the Kingdom, it's easily just as fun and fresh as BotW was upon its release imo. Only playing like 30 minutes to an hour at a time so it will take me a while to 100% this one.
I think I can play Diablo 3 on the Switch and it's not a bad price, but I want to go back to keyboard and mouse for that. Maybe I'll get a desktop and get back into Diablo and Star Craft someday.
D4 sounds dope, I miss keyboard and mouse gaming

At this point I don’t think Blizzard could even pay me to play one of their games. Isn’t this that “don’t you have cell phones” one? Or did that already come out?

You're thinking of Diablo Immortal came out a couple of years ago. D4 is the next multi-platform installment in the franchise.
I'm not a fan of Blizzard as a company either. But I'm not too proud to take what I want. They didn't kill babies or cut down forests, they are just douchebags like most tech companies.

But they DID put gold tokens in WotLK Classic, which is unforgivable.

Probably made the gold tokens out of babies and forests as well.
