For me, this pins is a sign of misting them...

I did this too in my other fruitbox with seramis because a guy on shroomery said it to me... and it was sooo wrong^^

So i got too these aborts and not healthy looking pins :/

I never mist directly a cake again...

Your pins aborting had nothing to do with misting them.

Newborn photo

Woke up this morning, had myself the last supplement of lions mane and freshly dried 1.3g from my first mushroom.
Heyyy it works! Felt it within 20min on a empty stomach and loving life. Beyond stoked and excited! Thanks everyone!

Does anyone use a heating pad under the WT?  I use one on the lowest setting like 75F to keep the water slightly  warmer than the air and high humidity in the chamber.

Worked wonders on having to mist and keep the temp up during the winter months here.  I don’t wanna pay high heating costs for the whole house but keep my chambers warm.  Just wondering everyone else thoughts?

Got any pictures of your results? Never tried it but it's interesting. It can't be as bad as putting a heating pad under a mono since you're not directly heating the substrate, and if it helps humidity and evaporation, sounds like it could help if ambient air is on the cold and dry side and you find yourself having to mist. I would like to see some examples/data if you don't mind.

I’m interested to see some results too, if you don’t mind. Getting cool here as well. I’ve got an oil heater in the whole room and it dries the air out a bit I think. I’ve also got a shoe box going so it’s helping with that. I’d be interested to see hope the wt goes though.

It’s not recommended but years and years ago they used them for something but it isn’t recommended like I said follow the tek youl be fine also winters gone keep a temp 70-73 a little over a little under will just slow things

Now at 22 days and no pins.

Haven’t missed for 5 days. Look a little dry. Open to any ideas cause what I’m doing isn’t working. I’m starting to think it’s the strain. I’ve got some still going slowly that are 6 weeks + in there. It took them ages to start fruiting. Getting frustrating…..

So it’s been 22 days ? Tf ? … everyone is going to tell you something different but I’ll do my part grasshopper

Did you wait 7 days after it was fully colonized?
How long did it take the jars ?
What strain is that ?
Does it even have water in the tub ?
Do you have a lid ? Is it adjusted right ? Or maybe too much FAE?
Did you restrict air completely to let the surface conditions meet ? Then crack lid ?

See how light brown ? Usually that’s an indicator of being dru idk tf those blobs are I dnt see contam so your good maybe someone can help on the blobs is it PE ? If it was me shames I’d re dunk for 24 hours clean the water tub put new water in and try again after the dunk they need water

Wait top right cake MIGHT have cobweb but I ain’t making that call

Thanks for your input bro, I’ll take what I can get.

Yes, jars had 7 days after full colonisation, maybe more.
The jars were a bit slow, maybe 5-6 weeks.
Golden teacher
Tub has water, it’s been changed once.
Tub has a lid, it’s adjusted right - I’ve tried all sorts of adjustments though.
I restricted fae for 8 days. It didn’t look like it had ideal surface conditions but they weren’t too bad.
I didn’t see any cobweb when I last checked. That missing bit of one of the cakes was cobweb, I cut it out.
I don’t know what the fuck is going on with the blobs…. No idea.

I’ll give them a bit longer. They still feel heavy. The last lot I did took 3-4 weeks to fruit and then only fruited in little bits here and there. I am starting to think it’s the strain. I used a different strain the first time and had great success. This one has been completely different. Maybe it’s what I’m doing, I don’t know.

Sorry, but it doesn't work like this. You can't cut out mold and think it's gone.

Next time throw the cake in the bin, that's the only way to handle mold.

Maybe. I’ve got one in another tub I cut mould out of weeks ago and it’s still going. I’ve got nothing to lose by keeping it there. It’s not like they are doing anything.

Yeah, you only contaminate your entire grow area once it sporulates.

Each to their own.

Thanks man, I’m on the other side of the world for bonarro. Looks super cool though.

I’ll throw 2 of the cakes out (the sus ones) and the dunk the other 3. Not sure what’s going on. Thanks again for your help man!
