Whats up cult!? I just wanted to share a recipe that's been brewing along. It's not 100% original, as I see a few posts about "blue cubes" and "Lemon Ice". But this one really has a nostalgic kick to it hehe. This is the "Psilli-Cubes" formerly "Koolaid Cubie Cubes Tek". You can make full doses or micro-doses this way. Or feel free to make some heroic cubes. It's your choice.

1.) First, we weight out our cubies/pans/azzies and decide how strong we want to make our cubie cubes. Keep in mind the weight difference of varieties such as GT vs PE as PE will equate to a bit larger dry weight than a "standard" cubie. I find that 8-12g dry for me, is perfect (which is 100g or so wet). I like doing this to wet mushies because you get all the psil extracted that you would normally lose by drying. You can use wet or dry mushies for this tek.



2.) Fill up your desired ice cube trays and dump the water in a measuring cup. If you use the same trays all the time, you can just remember this measurement. I use regular ice cubes but I also use the kind that fit right into a water bottle. Your choice. Also, mushies have a lot of water weight, so instead of absorbing water like you think they would, they actually release a little extra water (Just FYI).




3.) Place the measured out water into a pot or kettle and bring to a light boil. While you do this, go ahead and dice up all your shroomies and once the water is at a light boil, turn down the heat and STEEP your shroomies for 30 mins. **(It's best to keep the water under 180º F. I have trialed this several times and anything over 200ºF seems to ruin potency completely. I am now running 140-160 for optimal potency and steeping for 40 mins)**  I like to take mine off the heat after 10 mins and toss in a stir bar and throw it on a stir plate to agitate the mush for about 10mins and then return to heat for the final 10mins, but this is optional. I would at least recommend mashing the shroom pieces up a bit as you steep, to release all the goodies.



4.) After steeping is complete, strain the mush and return the mush tea liquid to the measuring cup and add in some premixed powdered koolaid or the liquid squirt bottle koolaid to the tea. Mix well and pour the flavored tea into the ice cube trays that you have chosen. Then place into the freezer.



5.) Once frozen, I like to vac seal for two reasons.. One is to keep them fresh and the other is to child proof them from young hands. I don't have children in my home, so its mainly to preserve. But better safe than sorry!!!



6.) That's it! Enjoy these babies on the go, at the beach, etc.

Tips: If you use the premixed powder koolaid that you get in the 19oz jars, your cubie cubes will have the same texture/melting point as flavor-ice popsicles. If you use the liquid koolaid drops, the cubes will stay pretty hard.

And if you take them with you and they melt before your can enjoy the cold, just cut them open and drink them.

When vac sealing, do this quickly so you don't have to worry about pulling any liquid into the vac sealer.

Wear gloves if you don't want your fingers dyed to match your koolaid :wink:

I am also testing if the mush can be ran a second round for microdosing. Or if longer extraction would be needed to ensure you get every single bit of goodies out during the extraction. I will follow up with my findings, I just have to drop my tolerance before I try the batch from the second steep.
