Funny part is all those dishes were originally sitting on a wooden shelf. After a couple weeks of sitting on the wire rack instead, the condensation went away.

I don't care about visibility. I look at it this way..all dishes will get opened eventually. Either to transfer to another dish or goto grain. Any contam that's actually bad can be easily seen, while enmeshed contams dont show at all. So as long as i can see that the culture has grown out then its gonna get opened and assessed in the flow anyhow so visibility means nothing.

The cheap glass dishes don't fit in the metal can, they break easy, the gap is monstrous between the lid and bottom making them a pain to wrap and move around. One of mine is even rounded a little on the bottom so it spins like a top lol The pp5 dishes are cheap, affective, they fit the can, and are plenty translucent for me.

I tried using some of my vape mod paraphernalia to heat #11 scalpel blades too, but failed the few times I tried. Same with any other attachment, like a punch head, etc.. Only wire works good, and everything else is pretty much detected as a short using regulated mods. A mechanical vape mod would probably explode if not even more careful.

Can only grind the blades down with a rotary tool so good, and then they melt when you almost get it right, but is barely trimmed up to thin in one section. They would need to be machined IMO to work right. I did get it to heat up pretty good once, so I know it kinda works.

Suppose I could almost do everything with kanthal/ss/nichrome wire though, and make multiple kinds of pics/multi tool attachments to screw on. Heck, even a straight poker attachment I'm guessing would be handy enough to do most the work needed.

I gave up though, and working on induction sterilizing methods instead for now.. One coil can heat all the tools, but isn't as cool as a full set of portable handheld electronic tools would be IMO.

I have been happy with my Thermohelix from his account on IG since it is a US based small business but you could get induction heaters from the Zon or Ebay as well.

But the stainless steel one.

There were on a wooden shelf. I think the mycelium radiated heat and the wood kept storing it making the temp difference between bottom and lid too different. After a week on the wire rack the condensation cleared up.

There's so many people on here who live in Europe and have the Presto 23qt you'd be crazy not to just import one. I mean Tweeq's even got three of them. Just take the plunge - you wont regret it.

I really want to have one and if i get one here in Germany i'll buy one.

But heard stories of customs confiscating imported Prestos. Not keen on losing money for nothing.

Yeah all I'm trying to say is that the chance of it getting confiscated is so incredibly small it's worth the risk. Also I'm pretty sure they're only confiscating AA's right? Since those things don't even look like cooking devices.

Yeah but if they look at the thing and just see a huge pan they don't know that the thing could be illegal. The AA's are marked as pressure sterilizers. The Presto is "just" a cooker. I think that's why you hear reports of AA's getting intercepted. A while ago I got some spores from the US (prohibited to import) that were labeled as "microscope parts". The people at customs have no idea what they're looking at 99% of the time.

I understand it's risky but staying stuck on PF Tek for the rest of your cultivation days just sucks imo. And it's honest to god not as risky as you think.

Just buy a 10L EU pressure cooker that goes up to 12-13psi or so and cook shit for longer.

Here even this old lady had the guts to import the thing

Edit: fun fact she even mentions having bought the Fizzler and regretting it now that she's got the Presto
