I've definitely been putting it to use for all kinds of things. After 10+ years working out of an SAB, it took a minute to get used to. Fuck it's nice though. The only thing I'll probably still use my SAB for is when I want to grab something off a contaminated clone or germ plate, and that's kind of rare.

Your work surface should be raised further. I've seen a few people say the outer 3 inches of flow isn't considered safe.

You’ll love those cans! The only thing I use foil for are prints now and it makes life easier.

It said it fits up to 100mm dishes but I don't think my glass ones will fit in it. Gonna get some polypropylene dishes that'll fit it if so.

Booo my 100mm glass dishes don't fit in the can that said 100mm dishes fit in. Even the can's dimensions are supposed to be bigger diameter than the dishes but it's not.

Maybe my cheap dishes are off though too who knows

Yeah it's cause the glass lids are so ridiculously bigger than the bottom. If the lids didn't have the giant gap they'd go in the can.

Damn, that sucks! If it helps any, the ID of my cans are 103.5-105 and most of my Pyrex plate lids are exactly 100mm.

Yup my can is the same. These cheap Chinese glass dishes the lids are way over 100mm.

Here's mine.

The "Noc Saber"

Powered by single 18650 regulated vape mod, or smaller to medium size rechargeable 510 threaded batteries. Ramps up super quick!

I've never used a noc loop before, so no idea how it performs, or if I even need it yet. I can imagine it's the best it gets though.

Also, as soon as I get my induction sterilizer finished, I can finally start working with agar, and test out this new 45 degree dental amalgam carrier gun I picked up, to try using as a biopsy punch & transfer tool.  See if I can sterilize it better than a flame could possibly do. Should be able to heat the inner plunger mechanism with induction all the way throughout. Hoping to both punch and drop the agar puck all with the one cheap knockoff tool.

Good to know. It's definitely something I've been wanting to change up, luckily things have been staying clean so far.
