Polypropylene would not hold pressure. . .not even 5 PSI. It's basically a steamer. Thrift stores are great for finding the smaller pressure cookers [have yet to see any all american's at second hand stores].

I haven't seen any AA's either, but the Lakecity value village had 2 BIG ass (22+qt?) Mirros in great condition. I was there one day, went back the next, and they were both gone.

i might've been absent-mindedly exaggerating the cost. I think when I saw those, they looked like cheap construction to me. Anyhow, got a great deal at the thrift. I think I paid like $20 for an 18 or 22qt. Its big, I know that.

if you ever have any flea markets around,visit one,i got a huge one that fits 7 quart jars for 5 $.I mean its just an idea nothing definite.

I've never seen a pc for that cheap...I think I payed a lil over $100 american for mine(don't remember exactly what price it was) its a presto 18 qt and I love it...holds 7 1qts and its JUST tall enough to hold 4 2qt jars
