Yeti and Gandalf. But the contam is at the edge so it wasn't the culture. I still have some that I transferred yesterday.

Let me know if they clean up or new transfers take. I have 2 Yeti slants. BAS & Bio I think & am currently working Gandalf. 3 iso's slanted & 3 clones working out off a F6 swab from the early days of stabilization. Playing with a Squat too that showed up on the like the 5th flush. Out of nowhere a 50% canopy of Squat dense quat Lil fruit. Was quite surprised as I almost tossed it a couple times

I was using some pp5 condiment cups that I think they lid either cracked and contaminated or a drop of water fell in there from the lid. I switched back to holy grail cups for good now. They should clean up fine and the other ones should take. No biggie. I cleaned up worse plates lol.

All my plates expanded nicely and were clean expect the 2 mentioned before that I fixed. Once transferred for the 2nd time they look to be doing fine. I just did another 40 no pour plates with stiffer agar. These will get transfers from the initial plates. Once they are ready, I will divide the hard agar plates and begin shipping to the people I contacted. I figure the hard agar will be easier to take out of the tube. Hopefully I used the right amount, usually I use 7g agar for 500ml water, I upped it to 10g. Also no food coloring, just lme, ny & agar. I also sterilized the cryo tubes and they are cooling in the PC wrapped in foil. Doing 180+ transfer to tubes is going to suck. It may take me longer than anticipated to get them all out but I will eventually get them to all of you I promise a set to. I'll probably send a few sets at a time.
I'll be sending some to grain after the transfer to hard agar. I can't wait to see how these Macs are, plus I'll be doing my first stone jars too. So much to do, so little time!

I feel your pain Big Worm. Currently taking 40 shiitake to new slants in triplicate, Wedges to grain masters, 1 new plate & 5 evendorfs for other peeps. All that on top of my normal Jam + my oyster project of trying every oyster culture I can find & 10 other projects.
This weekend going to take a weekend & have my "fill in" handle everything non essential and take the little lady on a trip.
Burned a full 500ct case of petri's in a couple weeks & my next 2 cases don't land till the 22nd so I get a couple off

I used to play video games in my down time. I haven't touched them since I started this hobby. If you can call it that. Most hobbies you do when you want, this tells you what you need to do and when. I need a flow hood. I think I'm outgrowing my SAB. Good luck buddaking!

I feel yah bout needing a flowhood. It’s wild what a “hobby” like this can bring out of someone. When it comes down to it, you give a fuck, which is awesome.

Yeah I consider it more of a "lifestyle" now. And a well worth it lifestyle. It's a rollercoaster ride of getting things right and failing but it is fun either way. Back before I started cultivation, I would do a lot of research and heard how generous the community was with sharing. It was like it was almost required to share genetics with the community, but ok if you didn't. I understand why people are willing to share so freely now. I love getting updates about the things I share. Even if the other person fails with what I share, I will send it again and work with them till they get it right or I get it right. So sharing buddaking's work, helping him get his work to more people will make me feel good. The more that have it means the longer they will live on. Funny thing is, Buddaking had the first post I seen when I started to research cultivating, it was melmac. They were fucking huge and looked so cool. I wanted to grow something like I saw in that post. Now I am growing the exact ones! Good luck with that crazy amount of genetics you got there! I envy you but I wouldn't know what to do with that much to work with. I'm looking forward to your updates.

My names fid and I approve this thread. All you guys are awesome and it’s cool to see the generosity and camaraderie here. I know I’m not a participant, but I’m auditing silently.

All t2's to hard agar are starting to recover and grow out. I started 1 jar of ATL #7 and the myc is jumping to grain after 1 day. I kinda want to try stones but I hear the shrooms are way better. Any thoughts? I have 1 person that wants baggies instead of the vials. Does anyone have recommendations for zip top bags or whatever to ship cultures in? How to I sterilize them? I'm doing up 10 more grain jars in a couple days to start some of the starry night and Macs.

The zip lock baggies should come sterile from the mfg process. Even the little dope baggies come clean for me except 1 batch long ago. I used them to send cultures for over a decade

Buddaking do you have a favorite of any of these? Just curious if one stood out from the others to you.
