Sketchiness of vitamins and supplements

A study of melatonin supplements published yesterday found this:
Quote:

25 products were analyzed. One product did not contain detectable levels of melatonin but did contain 31.3 mg of CBD. In the remaining products, the quantity of melatonin ranged from 1.3 mg to 13.1 mg per serving size (Table). In products that contained melatonin, the actual quantity of melatonin ranged from 74% to 347% of the labeled quantity. Twenty-two of 25 products (88%) were inaccurately labeled, and only 3 products (12%) contained a quantity of melatonin that was within ±10% of the declared quantity.

These are products that have been on the shelves for years, with thousands/hundreds of thousands of people purchasing and ingesting them. There have been similar studies done in the past on protein powders, herbal remedies, vitamins, diet pills etc. The common theme has been that the vast majority of these supplements, even the ones with legitimate 3rd-party/independent testing certs, don't contain what the consumer thinks they contain. Other studies continue to show significant heavy metal, bacterial and mycotoxin contamination in large percentages of natural supplements. There is virtually no oversight and these companies can market their mystery powders however they like.

Supplements are sold as part of a healthy lifestyle, yet for the majority of people who take them (without legitimate deficiencies) it seems like the best possible outcome is that the supplement doesn't cause them harm.

MMS is absolutely fixing the worm problem in my colon, ever since I started drinking it, I've been passing little dead worms by the bundle!

There is absolutely no way that these worms are actually bits of my intestines sloughing off from chemical damage.

Also, I know of several people who got their cancer cured with a high dose of vitamin B17. Actually, it cured a lot of their ailments.
