Thank you for the advise! I'll give this first flush indirect light and see where we end up!
Should the indirect light still be alternated 12 on / 12 off ?

I just want to say the best tool I've purchased for tub making and cutting foil for prints without tearing or wrinkling is a rotary cutter! Makes trimming liners and cutting foil a quick breezeπ€

Many people use that 12/12 interval but i think this is not necessary.
There's no place in the world where you have the sun shining exactly in this interval.

My tubs are all next to a window but the light doesn't necessarily need to be 12-12 exactly to the T, I live in the pnw so it's cloudy a good amount of the time, but the minimal light doesn't make a difference. just shut the light off before bed and turn it on when you wake upπ

Today I tried D3's agar cookie cutter method. I was kinda sceptical on having to switch between tools (straw first, then scalpel to grab the pieces) but I must admit, the 3 cuts were made in less than 3 seconds probably and it felt really solid.

We'll see if they 'tam out.

Yeah I purchased a pack of leather hole punches to try that method out, I feel like the plate is opened too long in my SAB and multiple tools feels unnecessary, made me too nervous, went back to just scalpel quick cut. Although the plate I did ended up just fine I feel like the hole punch method is purely for aesthetics.

I actually closed the lid after punching the holes in order to switch to my scalpel. Flame straw, open slightly, cool, punch 3 holes, close, grab scalpel and then flame, cool and transfer 3 times

Any specific details about the cutter? Is it a food grade pastry cutter, or is it a craft or fabric rotary cutter? I have to cut and fold 30 prints tonight and Iβd love a tool like this to make it faster and more professional looking.
Thanks in advance for any more details!

I like using cork borers as well for punches.

I hijacked mine from my wife, she has a handful, but yeah any craft store or craft isle at your local store. The size I use is like $8 or so. I specifically got it because cutting foil and keeping it neat is a pain, Perfect prints every time, no wrinkles or janky cornersπ€

Be careful with that bulb inside the tub. Could dry out your sub.

I love telling people who move here that the local name for June is Juneuary, then when they laugh tell them it's for a good reason.
