Vegan diet change
    #28286845 - 04/20/23 02:10 PM (9 months, 3 days ago)

I ate a vegan diet for 3 1/2 years. I was not super strict, so if I felt I needed more iron or something, I dont know what. Iron was the only thing I ever got low on. I would eat seafood.
I didn't have dairy, eggs, red meat, etc for 3 1/2 years.
In March I changed.
I have been eating meat. I have tried to eat eggs 4-5 times and.. it doesn't stay in my body.
I kinda steer clear from dairy but I have had it.
I went vegan from an eliminating diet to figure out what was bothering my stomach so much. Eggs and dairy were the biggest ones. Eggs still dont work with me.
Has anyone else went from a vegan or plant based diet to non vegan?
How did your body adjust?

Been awhile since I posted that. I am doing ok. Dairy and eggs bother my stomach. Eggs are improving though.

I would say the best and easiest way to think about eating for health is limit processed carbs. Eat meats, veggies and whole grains but try to stay away from sugar and processed foods as much as possible. Use this as the foundation and then you can try different things that work for you and not be so limited to some of the really strict diets like vegan or keto.

I have researched and studied diet and health and nutrition for a long time and the most important thing I have come to conclusion is that the processed carbs and foods or the biggest enemy to health. Meats, veggies are all good to eat and we do need them both.

dairy makes me feel bad too

eggs are a valuable protein source, i like to cook them longer

i don't eat meat but i think dairy is worse for our bodies
(except for pork which is really bad)

What was the reason to resort back?

I've enjoyed kicking the meat but love a bit of cheese lol

I was eating SO many carbs and gaining weight.
I rarely cook so I was eating lazy.
I eat high protein now which I include eggs and meat.
I can take it or leave it to be honest. I have not noticed big changes. BUT when I switched to vegan, I noticed enormous changes. I felt amazing.

Anyone tried Carnivore diet? Does it work?
I know it is kinda weird, but I heard about it for the first time few days ago from this article https://betterme.world/articles/carnivore-diet/.
I don't have much extra weight, still would be great to get back to my perfect shape before the vacation. Anyone can recommend a good routine + diet? Appreciate guys
