House Wrens. I feed them p-nuts around my feet indoors, sometimes I remind them that a window is not a door. But what is it that drives them, among all birds (even martins have limits) to explore cave dwellings? A gene? Can the intelligence of a scientist be traced to a gene?

Maybe some birds seek shelter in caves because caves are devoid of predators?

A squirrel, I imagine, might come to your chair thru an open window expecting a treat. I'm comparing some animal behavioral characteristics with that of enquiry perhaps being a genetic trait.

I don't think a gene, but body shape and vitality is genetic to a large degree, and the attraction to a cave, has to do with body feelings while flying near the cave.

Using the habits of a wren in analogy of an enquiring mind is a convincing argument I think for engineered people.

I think it's a safe bet that enquiry, the capacity for it, is due to some pre condition before exp. Why can't I fly?

You mentioning corporation I thought of Nike and then the goddess, perhaps good representation of the self-not-self-inquiry.

How does that apply to 'no thy self', as in the wrong kind of surrender to worldly influence?

In corporate idealism I believe one puts corporate ideals ahead of one's preferences in the moment. That way the riffraff will not abandon Nike in the clinch.
