Damn, my second tub got the green ick, just as pins were showing. To the compost pile it goes.

So I have a kind of success over here. A pin in less than a month! Yaaay!
Well, we'll see how the rest are going to catch up, but I'm cloning this pal anyways.
22L tub, straight coir (squeezed hard) with top layer at spawn. S2b 16.03, single 0,75L jar of rye made by g2g transfer (originally started with spores) oct.2022. It's a fairly thin cake, about 2,5cm with the top layer.
To be honest, I was anxious of this jar possibly being bacterial, despite there was no smell. It was too thick. There was too much water to my liking, it was clear though. It's the first time I got this thick mat with white chunks from semps, and I didn't expect it to pin without a casing layer, actually I was preparing one today.

This one's rather large considering it's growing from a ± 1L substrate. The cap has a diameter of 5cm.

This weird blob started growing even before the top layer was colonized. It solidified for two or three weeks, but I had to remove it today, because it oozed metabolites and one drop caught some kind of mold after casing with verm. (you can see dark specs in the lower part of the blob, that's where I removed diseased verm particle from)
Never had this occurred before, and I was very curious, actually I thought this was another organism, it looked more like some harmless wood loving saprophyte, you know, those porous white tough boys.
So, I removed it, it's very sturdy, feels like sclerotia, but it is hollow. It's bruising, and it's now dark-dark blue, so it's definitely semp myc. Have you guys seen something like that?

Little smaller than last time, can’t wait to see if all the consolidation jacked up potency. Gonna let them sit for a while after seeing spores too I think. Trying to get some dangerous shit this time

Awesome!
There's a high chance that fine gentleman could be The Tao. I know he's been very generous sending Semp prints around
I've received a Semp print from 0t0lerance The lineage of which goes all the way back to Workman. I put spores to agar 3 days ago. Very excited to see what'll come out of it!

Yeah, I think it was TheTao Thanks for reminding me!
I am really stocked about this culture, also very very fond that these are so quickly xD It's nice to have something with such a nice lineage. Hope I do them well and can continue sharing it further! (Already shared the rest of those prints with other members from here)

Yeah, I had to bury yours in the garden Melgo, noticed I got spaghetti from them .. it was in an EZ-dial.. for some reason I get spaghetti from those totes.. must be a fluke.. tossed all EZ-dial tubs.. for some reason they are not working for me. Currently running subtropicalis clone in a 130l JCM FC.. (bit foggy, forgot about the mister which was just switched on manually.. just got this setup up and running)

Stem end grow from a harvest from beginning of March. 2 ounce cups with stem ends and leftover coir/compost growing in a chicken rotisserie container with the lid on. Didn’t touch or look at them until the beginning of this month when I noticed the pins. Didn’t expect anything. Just didn’t want to waste and I was wondering about what I could perhaps do outside. I have several more cups. I really liked the shape of the caps so I thought I’d share.
Edit: about the prints. I’ve received more spores and seeds than I ever expected. Happy that any of my prints have been grown and passed on.

It was working for cubensis so I tried it with Semperviva. No fanning or misting. I’m doing all of this on the cheap. Semperviva

Managed 19g dry from my shoebox on the first flush. Hopefully I get a 2nd flush and can add to the total. I waited as long as I could to harvest these. They started dropping spores a few days ago and the caps got darker. Of course there was a few that were still immature but they were mixed into the clusters so they got chopped as well. A couple started to rot (stipes turned black and slimy) which made my decision to harvest them an easy one. Sorry no pic before the harvest since I need to get up early to harvest to keep my wife happy and I forgot to take one being half asleep. I took a couple swabs and prints. The swabs seemed the best way to get spores since the prints were light as hell. Plus I got 4 swabs(2 packs of 2) per cap where I only get 1 print per cap. I also cloned 2. 1 was in the biggest cluster with a half solid stipe. It was sectioned off in a few spots being solid, then not, then solid again. The other was just so nice looking I had to.

Nice job man! 19g is more than enough to try em out and get your toes wet. Best of luck on your second flush, for prints I’ve found letting em go for longer, 36+ hours has gotten me much darker prints, but that’s just been my experience.
