Diane Feinstein needs to resign 1

Apparently she’s essentially a vegetable and her absence from the senate is holding up judicial nominations. I expect she will resign within the next few days. Who will replace her? Will Newsom appoint Adam Schiff or someone else?
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna79350
The moment that catapulted her into the national spotlight, when she became mayor of San Francisco after the assassination of Mayor Moscone and Harvey Milk

Every single politician over the age of 65 should resign and not be allowed to hold office, including Trump and Biden.

I like her, so she should do both. The Republicans are always playing fast and loose with residency requirements, so what are they going to say? Probably bring up some technicality about how it's illegal, but that never stops them. Hobbs could have doubles like Putin so she never misses a vote, and a different middle initial and a scar or mole.

I think there’s an argument to be made about octogenarians not being the thought leaders for society’s future, but everyone ages differently.

theres a certain ammount of wisdom that comes with age.
but a 90 year old who cant get out of bed
an 80 year old that cant keep his story straight
and a 76 year old that cant keep a thought in his head...or his dick in his pants
arent the cream of the fucking crop

Everyone I know, when they went past the age of 65, that's when they started to really go downhill mentally and physically. I've known really smart hardworking people who couldn't mentally work past the age of about 65 even though they wanted to. They were in their prime at 60, right up until about 65, and by 68 they couldn't mentally work anymore.
It's a pretty dramatic downturn between 65 and 70 mentally, you don't realize how dramatic and how fast it is until you see it. There's a reason we have people retire around that age, it's because mentally most people can't physically work beyond the age of 65-70, no joke. If you haven't seen it yet, you will.

the reason you see that is because thats when they retire... and lack of activity and stimulation = degradation its not necisarily the age... but age IS a factor as well, and having someone at 90 be a thought leader instead of just offering wisdom and guidance is probably just as wrong as kicking them out right at 65

Well the problem is a bunch of rich white people who are only cogent enough to vote yes on the pentagon budget and then go back into stasis ARE the cream of the crop.

That’s because you and the people that actually put the Feinstein and Bidens and Trumps into power have very different ideas of what the job is.

im not sure you know enough about me to include me in your generalization as im a well connected person. no one is really ¨respocible for putting into power"we have a system, that system feeds itself with people who are also willing to be corrupt and weeds out those who are not either corruptable or previously connected.
i am previously connected...so i could probably get elected...but im not corruptible...so i´d probably be weeded out if possible. your place in politics is largely a matter of those two factors, connections and corruptions.

She really is ancient I agree she should go. As far as replacing her it's the same problem as replacing Biden. I don't see alot of great alternative options
