Hey guys, just wanted to say you have a great site here, cause ive learned a lot just looking through this site, i never relized how complex the fungi world was. But anyway a few of my friends have gone hunting before, but all i know on the subject is what ive learned from the past few weeks of research on the web and a little in books, and the fact that some mushrooms look so much alike that even experts have trouble figuring what they are are is suprizing to me(if people didn't know this info, they might just go pick some mushrooms off cow crap and eat then without knowing better). But i live in south florida, in the martin county area, and i was wondering if there are any particular types of mushrooms that are more fool proof than others in my area, like is there a certain (active) mushroom that has specific characteristics that are most likely not to be confused with a poison one. I will most likely be looking in one of the many cow pastures in my area, presumably on cow patties. any help on the subject would be great.

Thanks
blujack

I'm new too, and this is the best site on the subject by far! Thanks to all for the wealth of knowledge you've provided!
