Anyone else pre order and cant wait for the early beta. I had several hours on the game so far and am looking forward to all the improvements and additions since my last chance.

Wanna squad up? I play mornings usually, Sorceress.

I will not pre order.

I'm probably get it when it comes out in June. Tried to play the beta but the kids were being difficult about it.

I really wish they would do items/loot like d2 i don't like that you can't tell what gear people are wearing.

And I think it was a matter of pride showing your cool gear.

Hot take: D2 itemization was garbage.

No, I should not be finishing Hell Baal with level 27 items on my character because I haven't had a decent drop for that slot in 50 levels.

I like the rare unique set thing.

And magic find was one thing I enjoy about it.

Ya they could have spread the items out better.

Who cares how low of an item can be to beat the game. I beat the game a bazillion times and liked finding the the items I wanted.

Different strokes I guess 🤘

Yeah, but everything has rares, uniques and sets.

Plus, after a while, the only thing that matters is runewords. I've gotten to the point where the only upgrade is a BIS runeword that requires ber or something, and otherwise I have the best possible roll on an item. Heart of the Oak, I think was the big one last season I played.

Maybe I'm too slow.
I don't grasp the stats and how they apply in d3 d4.

Probably just need to play more.

The D3/D4 DPS counter on items was also way more helpful than having to go into the character screen and compare.

D2 forced you to consider modifiers a lot more individually. D3 you basically just clicked the green DPS numbers until you got the class sets, at which point set bonus was usually worth a solid 10-20% of your DPS.

Also the whole cast rate/frame count system in D2 was absolutely fucked.

Overall, D2 was just way more clunky, which makes sense considering the, what, 15 year? 20 year gap?

Lol those are all the things I liked about d2. Which is why I'm coming to the conclusion no new diablo will live up to my expectations. D3 and 4 are "good" games to most people.

I realize all the things I liked about d2 are outdated and janky.
