Grain water for CVG ?

So I couldn't find anyone else talking about doing this.which I find hard to believe. I thought about this during my bags vs tubs run. In theory if I use my nutrient rich grain water to hydrate my cvg then my cvg will be extra nutritious And I can dump my grains in the cvg bucket and make my own pre mixed all in one bag .ime regular all in one bags are hard to mix once the grain is colonized and I end up with a fucked cake.FAFO And of course PC for at least 90min I got 10 bags spawning so I'll let yall know how it goes.

thats like doing pftek so its more likely to contam in bulk, interesting idea, usually people use the water for agar. Stamets or someone was saying it primes them with ensymes for the same subtrate or grains so they use the left overs from bioling and pasturising the other stuff. I say you adding nutrients to a subtrate and truning it into an environment that is favourable for fungus and bacteria. food outside the cell.

My grain water agar has been working well so far. I would second the contamination risk in bulk. I only ever got a big trich patch once and it was the time I used coffee grounds in my sub.

I've tried this back in the day and it turned out really really messy. You don't want the coir to become (too) nutritious because of de non-sterile way we spawn to bulk. My attempt with this ended with gross pink/gray looking contamination within like two days.

Bad idea, unless you're using it instantly after making it, even then I wouldn't trust it or do it myself. Coir works well because it doesn't contam easily because it is nutrition-less and inert. It's basically an added risk for not much gain, just use more spawn if you want bigger yields. You will give all that time the coir isn't colonized for contams to start feasting away at the nutrient rich coir

I agree going bulk would be a bad idea That's why this will only work with bags And you sterilize with PC and you can focus on Getting a uniform cake because an even substrate level field means better flush

The idea is not new.
Check it.
Also this isn’t advanced mycology.

That wouldn't add anything and would invite contams. Grain has more than enough nutrients to get you through a bunch of flushes.
