as everything seems so real and sometimes I get little panicky because of this. I also struggle a bit with vertigo when I feel overwhelmed with the "everything seems so real"-feeling.
What is this "everything seems so real"-feeling?
I like to think i am waking up as says my avatar.

I find I often feel fear when I feel more aware.
I can relate to that. Realizing/being more aware of it all is frightening as most realizations to me is based on or having a feeling of suffering and the horrid state of the world. Being alive is a crazy experience.

RJ Tubs 202 said: When we open our heart the pain rushes out. For example, when we cry about the loss of a loved one, we are suddenly slammed square in the face with the intense reality of our love for them. It can feel overwhelming.
We call it "ugly-crying" when we cry so intensely our facial expression becomes contorted as we blubber and wail. It's uncontrollable, which might be the reason we call it "ugly". When there's a crack in the shell, our true emotions burst out, and it can be shocking.
I get you, but there is something out of the ordinary with these intense feelings. I have felt overwhelmed before but this aware-panicking is just another unique feeling/experience (out of the ordinary) I have felt over the past 10 years.

Ordinary = I get it. Out of the ordinary = I cannot put my finger on it.

Today I got them pretty bad but still it is kinda fascinating becoming aware of one's surroundings - if that is what I am doing at all.

And when I listen to music it enhances!
I try to fully focus on my surroundings and like LC wrote, it is a bit surreal.
It is actually pretty cool when I am on sedative medicines, scary when I am not on sedatives.

We could all be thoughts within a paranoid schizophrenic's brain somewhere in the universe (or beyond).
